Appearance: Ma'za has long wavy, almost curly, brown hair and large, soft green-brown eyes. Her build is small and shapely, almost curvaceous, with small hands and dainty feet. Very comely, this girl, before Impression, had visited many a bed of many a person.
She wears long split dresses over pants of many a color, and can rarely be seen in just a shirt and pants. She loves to let her hair fall over her back and throw some over her shoulders in a flirtatious manner. Her feet are often bare, but can be seen in both slippers and boots on occasion.
Personality: Very flirtatious. She loves to mingle among both men and women, but would rather bed a woman than a man. Her voice is often over-used in shouting matches over something mundane, so is usually hoarse. While fighting is not her thing, she can hold her own against most men and almost all women. Not because she's especially strong... but because she fights dirty. She isn't easy to befriend, and doesn't trust men at all. She has a secret crush on anyone with power, so harbors feelings for the Weyrsecond on New Cove, along with the Jr. Weyrwoman, Kisa. Not that she's power-hungry... she just happens to be attracted /to/ power. But, yes, she does have power, and does use it to get her way. She's the Wingleader of the low-altitude wing of NCW, and lets no one transfer from her wing unless it's by /her/ order.
History: Marizza was born in Verixion Hold to a field-hand. She was raised as the only child for many turns, and very much loved until her very, uh... -friendly- nature came out. She began to flirt with the entire Hold, male or female, at the young age of thirteen. Age? Didn't matter. Rank? Didn't matter. Gender? Well, she proffered the female-gender, but did bed many a male. She was with child by the age of fourteen, and birthed him by fifteen. She soon adopted him out, not wanting him to hinder her playful nature.
By now she had a younger brother. Two, actually... Rollasin and Heersay, the most adorable twins in Verixion. she helped raise them but took little part other than the occasional sitting or changing. She took again at the age of seventeen, birthed a girl, and again adopted out once more. She continued in her ways, growing to include Dragonriders in her flirtatious journeys. At the age of twenty, one asked her to come back and be with him. Ah, M'shil was a wonderful little Bluerider, but Marizza had little interest in him. He ended up taking her back to Cove Weyr, where she ended up out-ranking him by Impressing one fine day to a Brown. Everyone was surprised... a female Brownrider? It had never been heard of! But Syamynth was very pleased. It seemed the great Queen Clutched many oddities, for not long after Marrizza Impressed her Karuopith, some young thing came along and Impressed a Blue. And what a huge Blue it was! Caffreth was the size of Cove's smallest Bronze, and proved to be of a bronze-like nature when he sought to catch Syamynth's clutch-daughter- Raycronith. A fight ensued, in which the smallest Bronze killed Caffreth, sending him crashing to the ground without enough strength to go /between/. His Rider, a still-young girl named Jannika, was thrown into pits of despair. For some reason Rylin did not banish her from the Weyr, but kept her around. The only thing that seemed to keep Jannika going were the mutants that had begun to pop up.
First it was a Queen egg, so huge it dwarfed Syamynth's own Queen-egg (which had been pieced back together by Rylin herself and kept in her weyr). Jannika was allowed to Stand again, as she was still Impressionable. Syamynth asked, see, /asked/, Jannika to touch the Queen Egg. Marizza was there on the Sands when it happened...
She was able to see a very frightened look cross over the girl's face... such a lovely face... as she rested her hand on it. The girl very nearly fainted as she uttered pure nonsense about mutant-golds and male-Queens. Marizza had rushed forward to help Jannika to her room, trying to coax the crazy git into drinking some fellis juice. Candidates had gathered all around and were talking in hushed voices about Jannika's sinking depression and her possible having gone over the deep end.
Jannika drank the fellis juice and fell promtly asleep, and the next morning remembered nothing more than a sheer need to have all the Candidates stay well away from that egg.
When the Hatching came, Jannika was bid to Stand. She did, fright etched clearly on her face when the massive Queen Eggs burst open. What fell forward looked like a ginormous Queen, but Marizza remembered what Jannika had said... and then took it to heart. The Queen did not Impress, but instead began to rampage about and kill off any un-Impressed hatchlings and Candidates, it's eyes whirling a bright red-violet. Jannika had screamed, but it was not one of fear. The girl had screamed in rage, something that sounded like "ember", and leapt towards the Queen.
The gigantic Queen had stopped her rampage when Jannika had screamed, and the two looked like they were going to face off. But then, the forever-famous Syamynth lunged at her own Hatchling, grabbed her in her claws, and /betweened/. Shock went through the crowd, mild conversation started at first before erupting into a roar. Jannika remained on the Sands, looking lost, before Syamynth reappeared... without the Queen.
Later, Syamynth and Rylin, along with the help of Jannika, explained to the whole Weyr that the 'Queen' was no Queen, but was a mutation now called an 'Amber'. There was no way of knowing their eggs from just a giant Queen egg, so must be allowed to Hatch and then, if they do not Impress or begin to rampage, they must be killed.
That was just the beginning... each time Jannika Stood in one of Syamynth's Hatchings, she was invited to touch a particular egg. Each time that same Egg would Hatch a mutant. It seemed that only Syamynth knew which egg would hatch the Mutant, but needed the growing girl to confirm it.
Marizza was away at Syamynth's last Hatching, but apon her return had promptly changed her name to M'za, after the new tradition started by the second Amber to ever Impress... and the only to ever live.

Info: Karuopith is a very darjk, almost black Brown with copper brindeling over his wingsails and stripes over his tail. He's not large compared to other Brown's of Syamynth's, but he is large comapred to normal Browns. He's not a normal Brown, but has a working-attitude of a Blue. He earned his right to lead a wing just as much as Ma'za earned hers. He is head-strong and will try to Catch any female that Rises, save Silvyth due to the fact that Xyurith has very plainly threatened his life for even thinking about flying after her that first Flight.
