Rider: [deceased]
Dragon Name: Seth
Dragon Color: cyan
Age: 16
Personality:
His temper is unpredictable and mercurial. The slightest thing sets him off, and he can go from high dungeon back to perfect serenity at the blink of an eye. His moods have always varied wildly, but since killing his former rider B'tok this has grown even more severe.
He highly prefers the taste of dragonflesh to any of the herdbeasts or wherries every other dragon eats, but Seth restrains himself most of the time. He considers it a delicacy, rarely to be had and to be enjoyed to the fullest whenever he can get it.
Human flesh is even better than that, according to Seth. He likes the flavor of dragon, but the ichor makes it heavy and a bit sweet. Human flesh to him has a tangier taste that he adores.
After killing his own rider -- and not going between like most cyans tend to do -- Seth's state of mind has deteriorated even further. Never the most stable of dragons, Seth is even less sane now: most of the Weyr's inhabitants avoid him like the Plague, even more so than usual.
Since B'tok's death, Seth's instability has crystallized into a disorder sometimes seen in humans: Dissociative Identity, more commonly known and multiple personalities. Seth has developed two more personalities: a female named Vespith, and a male named Necrosisith. Seth has no idea his personality has split, though the other two do, and Vespith finds it amusing.
Vespith is an oddly cheerful creature, though definitely sadistic and insane. She lacks Seth and Necrosisith's misanthropy and general sullen attitude, being in an almost perpetually sunny mood. She can become petulant if thwarted, but she doesn't seem to have much of a temper. She is still unpredictable and rather dangerous, but is a strikingly different creature from either of her compatriots. She prefers to be referred to by a shortened nickname Ves, and likes calling Necrosisith Necro.
Necrositith is more sedate and quiet than the other two. He is also more predictable: as long as you leave him alone, he probably won't hurt you. Necrosisith is a touchy dragon and won't suffer fools even when they're halfway across the room and don't even know he's there. Necrosisith is by far the most misanthropic of the personalities, and the most moody. Unlike Seth's wild mood swings and Vespith's constant bubbly cheer, Necrosisith is consistently ill-tempered and could be called depressed. Necrosisith dislikes Vespith and contempts Seth, and despises Vespith's nickname for him.
Appearance:
He is average in size and build, for a cyan. Anyone with any knowledge of dragon anatomy would agree that cyans, for all their unpleasantness, are remarkably well-conformed. Seth is a handsome-looking dragon, well built, with broad wings that make him more agile even than a green.
Seth is one of the cyans with shark-skin, the razor-sharp scales that feel silky smooth when stroked head-to-tail, but which would cut up anyone's hand who rubs against the grain of the scales. They have a sky-blue base color that is neon bright, almost blinding to look at full in the sun. There is no blemish to mar the blue expanse of his hide either, and the few scars Seth sports are hard to spot.
Like all cyans, Seth's eyes never stray from their bloody ruby-red hue. Changes in emotion are denoted more by the speed of their wheeling, and by a darkening or lightening of the hue. A muddier red means rising ire, a lighter one a more even temper. Cheerful blues and greens generally smudge them when Vespith is in control, but otherwise they stay the same.
