Xyurith snorted at being told to go back, but seeing as who the order was from he didn't make a complaint. ~We're leaving, they're following. Good day, Weyrleader and Varanth~ he said, his voice low. He had heard what the Onyx King had told his Silvyth, and was outraged and disappointed all at the same time. Outraged that Varanth would hold the young Queen's actions against her, and disappointed that Silvyth would act in such a manner in a strange weyr.
N'nika waved a goodbye to D'ron on the ground before grasping Xyurith's neck ridge and have him pull up higher into the sky. Such a poor introduction, such a horrid start for a relationship. They'd have to make amends... perhaps hold a celebration at New Cove? No, not a celebration... Syamynth had died nearly two turns ago. Perhaps hold a sort of thing to honor the great Queen? The last Gold to be seen in New Cove? Yes, yes, and invite Talune to it, invite D'ron to it. Perhaps they could placate the Weyrleader and his Onyx, show them how well the pair could act, /did/ act, when not faced with new things. //Between now, love. We can talk once we get back...// N'nika thought grimly. She'd have to talk to Kisa, figure out what exactly they had done.
Xyurith grumbled about not being able to land again, before winking /between/ out of Talune's air, and into New Cove's. He spiraled rapidly in towards his Weyr, landing roughly on the ground in his emotional haste. He didn't allow N'nika to dismount, but instead remained standing, watching the skies for Silvyth. As much as he was infatuated with the Queen, he was still sorely disappointed in Varanth's description of her behavior. He planned on getting the truth from Silvyth and then planned on harboring a dislike for the Onyx should the King's outrage prove to have no grounds. He growled lowly, a deep sound that spread through the weyr's dragons and woke all that were sleeping when the growl erupted into a bellow of rage. An Amber awoken, finally. This rage had not been seen from Xyurith since he Hatched.
//Calm down! You are not a Hatchling anymore! You can no more kill Varanth than you can kill me!// N'nika scolded, slapping Xyurith's neck sharply with her backwards-gloved hand. //Now take me up to our weyr, we can talk to them there!//
~No! Varanth has insulted me by insulting Silvyth. The only Queen in this Weyr! She is, by rights, the Senior Queen! How /dare/ he make her seem foolish?! I will have a talk with Silvyth, and /you/ will have a talk with Kisa, understand? From now on whenever we visit Talune the two of them are to be on their /best/ behavior, understand?!~ Xyurith was getting frantic, pacing back and forth along the wet grounds of New Cove.
"Shut it! You and I both know that you can't tell Silvyth to do anything! You can't even give her a stern look by any means!! o shut up and let me talk to Kisa, she'll be here shortly," N'nika spat at the Amber's growing rage, "Now let me down, go to your couch, and calm down!"
Xyurith swung his head around to look at his Rider, eyes whirling a fast yellow with a tinge of red. But the look on the Weyrsecond's face made him stop in his reply. He did, however, take the un-strapped Rider in his gaping mouth and deposit her on the ground with enough force to send her rolling. He stomped off, spread his wings, and returned to his weyr in a fit of bugles and bellows.
