Well your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you She tied you to the kitchen chair She broke your throne and she cut your hair And from your lips she drew a Hallelujah.
.::F'st~*~Typhith::. Ty lifted a brow, as if daring the Green to jump, and before he could actually say anything, she pounced. He would have moved, but as it turned out, she mis-calculated, and slide right off, onto the ground, to sit there and for a moment stare about, then burst into fits of rumbling laughter. He turned his head, and his body followed, until he could crouch down and peer at her, trying not to laugh himself. That had been utterly priceless. For starters no one had ever tried to jump on him, even F'st had to clamber a bit to reach his neck, and second, Mistith had been just too funny as she did it. Pokking lightly at her with his nose, he smiled. //What was that you were saying? You might be able to fit up there, but you have to stay there first. In fact...// Without finishing his thoughts, he took another step, spreading his wings and effectly hiding the Green from sight completely as they curled around her. It would be utterly impossible for Tain or F'st to catch any part of the Green, so long as Mistith remained where she was, and he rumbled softly, delighted in such a thing. He poked his muzzle into the circle of membrane and stared at the little Green for a moment, eyes twinkling mischeiviously. //Hmm... You seem to be caught now. Mine and I will be there, though he doesn't know it ye.// No, F'st would likely not know until, again, Typhith decided it was time to go.
F'st listened as Tain told of what the two dragons were discussing, he knew already for he'd been listening to Ty about part of it, and then noticed her look away. Wha- ...
What in the world was the Green doing? Had she ried to jump on Ty's back? Well, one way or the other she was on the ground, and now gone from sight, Ty seeming to take pride in the fact that he was able to hide her so effectively. Why was Ty acting like a hatcling? No, he'd never been so odd even as a young thing. It must be Talune, F'st decided, there were several things about the Weyr that seemed to have odd effects on both F'st and Typhith. F'st could stay in the sun, to some extent, without turning bright red instantly, for starters. That alone had been a huge releif, for his pale skin was all to prone to burning, his very near albinism a thing he hated violently in his youth.

Just try to ruin her delight: It's a difficult endeavor. She doesn't walk, she's always prancing, Only when she isn't dancing. Share your world, she'll make them lighter. The future's bright but she is brighter.
.:/Tain/.::.\Mistith\:. Mistith's eye's widened in mock horror, the hues remaining their bright, contented shade as she knew the massive Emerald would not harm her-she was only just jesting to see his reaction to her faux terror. After all, if was going to do something, he had had ample enough time to do so already. The big sweetheart. Oh no, I am rather trapped, aren't I? Please don't hurt me oh mighty Emerald, I happen to be very small and can break easily. One wrong push and poof! I'm gone. Her orbs lit a wonderfully playful shade, her entire maw splitting into an adorable grin that was so impossibly...Mistith. Only she and Hers could get away with such an action, or even look rather cute in the process doing it, because they did not do so in arrogance, merely confidence. That was the best trait to have besides humor. As the Green lifted her head to catch his gaze, an idea twinkled inside her mind that heavily appealed to her and, being how she was, she couldn't refuse the thought. To further her teasing-or it could have something to do with the fact she was due to rise soon-her neck extended, snout prodding his own before her forked tongue poked out and licked the very tip of his nose lightly before returning to her seated spot on the ground with his enormous wings blanketing around her body. Now, be nice or I might have to do it again. Silly Emerald. Now now, Mistith. It isn't nice to tease people. Tain had been listening in intently on her Green's thoughts as the petite being was covered from her view. It's not that she did not trust Typhith, it's just it unnerved her to see her dragon one moment and gone the next like she had vanished off the face of Pern, and the young rider could not bear the thought of living without her lifemate. Mistith was her world, or at least a major part of it, and losing her would devastate her. She knew she would not recover if anything were ever to happen to her, and that a final trip between would be the only fix for such agony. Such mind numbing agony as losing one's dragon. And it isn't nice to eavesdrop either, Mine. But that's okay, I forgive you. Tain shook her head in light amusement, returning her attention to F'st who seemed to have wondered off in thought to himself as well. He was probably questioning Typhith on what in the world he was doing to the poor tiny Green behind the curtains of his wings. Gee, thanks. Now, don't tease the poor guy. He seems to like you well enough without any of that. Mine, follow your own advice there. F'st is slowly being charmed. Tain did not dignify that with a response, and merely took to conversing with the other rider once more as she collected her towel and wrapped it around her body, the chill finally catching up with her. "But, anyway, you should come tomorrow. It'll just be me and Mistith and Sable, and that lazy little flit wont be any trouble at all," she said with a genuine smile, something far too rare this day and age. Word Count: 583 Notes: Yeah, I wanted her to be so silly and playful, far more so than the last time you saw her in action. ^^

.::F'st~*~Typhith::. Typhith drew his head back in suprise momentarily, his eyes whirling moderate confusion at Mistith's action, so simply it had been, but so utterly sweet, so purely beautiful. He couldn't think of a thing to say to her, and simply stared, his lower jaw fighting to remain up, the urge to simply let it drop strong. Well, that was most definately a first, to say the very least. While F'st tried to come up with some excuse to get himself out of an akward position, he was listening in on Ty, trying to figure out what the Emerald was up to. True, Ty had said he would be chasing the Green, but why was the dragon trying to get F'st to socialize with Mistith's rider? Surely he didn't think that if he caught the Green he'd remain with her? It was ridiculous, for starters the difference in size made that idea... Hard to picture. He dwarfed her easily, and then some. Their personalities differed greatly as well, for though it was true Typhith was green in his color, size, appearance, gender, and mind all stood aprat from any hope he'd be mistaken as such. With a jolt he forced himself to turn his thoughts back to Tain, and an answer for her. Business? Perhaps something that took him and Ty away from the Weyr... Yes, that would work! I- We, are going to be out of the Weyr tomorrow, some business in... In Solse! With the Lord Holder Rileson. eah..." Alright, so maybe that wasn't the best lie he'd ever forced out, but he'd been caught off guard. Yes, he liked this rider, yes, she was beautiful, and yes, she didn't seem bothered by either himself or by the Emerald, however, that could easily change. It was best to just leave it as was, where everyone seemed alrght with everyone. Sure, Ty was being social and loveable now, but what if he had one of his days where he behaved the Emerald he was? True, he was no Black or Amber, but he could still have a temper. What then? Typhith was saved from Mistith, for at least a moment, by F'st's thoughts and words, and the Emerald spun, his wings sweeping away form Mistith to mantle as he glared at F'st. Speaking to include all in his words, the Emerald never let his gaze waver from F'st. //We are not going to be out of the Weyr, unless MineF'st thinks to sit astride another dragon, in which case I will have to make a poor choice in behavior and prevent such an occurance, and we will be meeting the two of you at the beach. F'stMine, do you understand this, or shall I make it clearer?// Going from a playful, oversized Green in behavior, to the Emerald he was, Ty could be a sight, and an intimidating one at that. There was no doubt at times such as these thathe could be dangerous, and F'st knew well what an Emerald could do. His hands raised in defeat, F'st soothed the beast. "Alright Ty, you win. We'll go. Settle down, or go poke your head in the lake for a moment, if you let your temper flare you may well prove the Weyr right about us." He watched the dragon closely, and while he doubted that the Emerald would harm either Tain or Mistith, he was concerned for anyone else around. For a moment Ty retained his appearance, as if ready to strike, before his body vialy relaxed, and he turned, padding to the water and taking F'st advice, to an extent. Rather than just his head the Emerald waded into the water to submerge himself fully, his eyes glowing under the surface sheepishly. Just try to ruin her delight: It's a difficult endeavor. She doesn't walk, she's always prancing, Only when she isn't dancing. Share your world, she'll make them lighter. The future's bright but she is brighter. .:/Tain/.::.\Mistith\:. Tain's smile broadened when it should have fell, her intent eyes picking out the flaws in his words, when he paused, when his words stretched out, everything. She could very well tell he was lying before he had even finished his sentence, but it had not mattered because he was so utterly bad at it that it was just impossibly hilarious! How could she not laugh at his poor attempt? "Out of the Weyr? Liar," she chuckled out, wrapping the towel tighter around her body to seal out the cold. Much as she had enjoyed herself today with all the scuffling and pouncing and delight, she could not deny that all the play had tired her something fierce. Even someone so stubborn and independent as she wore down after something so continuous. "You really should come. You don't have to but, I know you'd really have fun if you did." A light smile graced her, her face softening as she watched him attempt to gather himself after his little white lie. Her attention wavered, however, as Typhith whirled, the truth of his color rising as he glared angrily at His for lying so. Her eyes widened in response, the Greenrider shrinking back a foot or so as the intimidating stare was mildly frightening. Mistith roused, immediately springing up and wandering to her Mine without a second thought, hovering over her protectively. True, she did not think Typhith would harm Hers-just as F'st did not-but she had to be safe. She'd die a slow death by thread before she would ever let anything get close enough to harm Hers.
Typhith? Are you okay? Mistith asked this tentatively, her voice very light and only trying to make certain that she could let her protective, motherly guard down because Hers was honestly spooked by the sudden temper in the dragon despite how his rider seemed to see this as normal. Perhaps the Emerald joining the flight of the Green wouldn't be such a good thing after all...
Mine! You of all people should know not to judge others. So he has a supreme distaste for lying. Why is that a flaw? We all have our off days and little pet peeves, but you've got to look past those to really see who a person is. Give him another chance, because I really do like him and I know I can either work around his short fuse or help him tame it a bit more. She seemed so sure of herself, so certain that people-or in this case dragons-could change and could become better for the influences in their life. Such the idealist and optimist she was. But real life wasn't like that, at least not all the time. You could only be sure of yourself, because everyone else was like an open book with blank pages. You knew the cover, but what lie inside was entirely unknown and only when they so chose could you read the hidden text. Mistith, I was just saying a slight concern. Love, sometimes you try so hard and only see the good in people. You have to acknowledge the flaws or you're going to get hurt, and I don't want that for you. Just accept that it exists, is all I want. I know you can think the world of anyone, especially those you love, but you have to be careful. You barely know him: I believe the hormones got to you. The Green seemed to sigh, her wings curling around Hers a small shudder overcame the rider. She would have been the perfect Spring, for her motherly and attentive side knew no bounds, and she would have adored watching over eggs. Even if they were not her own to claim. I'm not that far gone, but I see your point. I will try to do so, but I cannot make any promises. I'm a caretaker: I will always be there for whoever needs my help, and it doesn't matter if I barely know them or if they are horrible people in others' eyes or anything like that. Right now he needs that, that unjudging side, and so does F'st. Remind them, Mine. Remind them of what actually living is like.
Word Count: 741 Notes: My muse was dead at the beginning, but I think it picked up at the end there just a bit. -Nods-

.::F'st~*~Typhith::. Typhith stared balefully at Mistith from his underwater cover, considering being anti-social, considering the behavior he'd just shown. He'd made an utter arse of himself, just because he didn't like the idea of F'st lying to Mistith's. Why? Just because he liked the lovely little Green, who was so sweet and so innocent. He'd worried the Green, and in the worst way possible. He'd made her concerned for Hers, whom he'd never harm. As if to try and hide himself further, to avoid his shame, a froth of bubles rose around his muzzle as he exhaled, his eyes sliding shut for a moment as he held his breath. While the emerald was trying to wish himself invisable, F'st hung his head and turned to Tain and Mistith. If Ty was going to act like this, he'd have to apologize for the dragon. "I... We are sorry for that. See, Ty and I really aren't accustomed... Accustomed to being around people in uh, in general. He's a bit touchy, and I'm the same." He turned his stormy eyes tot he Emerald, watching, and waiting, for the froth of water to settle and for the Emerald to have to breath. As soon as Ty was willing to get out of the water they'd leave. After that display it was only proper, right? /Ty, come on. It was your idea to come here, now get out of the water.///No. I've made a fool of myself. I will not show my face until they are gone.// Ty lifted his paws to cover his face, as if to make sure F'st understood the Emerald meantit, or thought he did. /Ty? Silly Ty. You are an Emerald, and so far as I know you are the gentlest Emerald to grace Pern. So what if you have your flaws? We all do. Come now, dragon, or are you a simple wher?/ Well, Ty was not to be called a wher, and his head rose from the water, his neck arching up as he looked sternly at F'st. //Wher? I would have to be the greatest wher of all, and no doubt the most attractive.// His gaze swung, his head lowering till it hung a hair's breadth over the water as he looked shamefully at Mistith and Tain. //My humblest apoligies to both of you, for my actions were uncalled for, and I had no right to make either of you uncomfortable. If we have outstayed our welcome in your prescence we shall take leave, and understand perfectly.// Oddly, the large-ish dragon looked pathetic, a thing that could be hard to imagine under most circumstances, but the angle of his head, the look in his mournful eyes, and even the way he seemed to put effort into becomming as small as possible were hard to overlook. F'st was not much better, though he looked more bothered by simply riding the dragon than for how Ty had acted. It was natural to Emeralds to be snappish and aggressive, such behaviors making them who they were. How could he look down on Ty, or try to correct such a thing? But both were repentent for the trouble caused, and both were seeking forgiveness, or a quick end, in their own ways. The future's bright but she is brighter. .:/Tain/.::.\Mistith\:. He didn't even have to look at her so to gain her forgiveness, or try to make himself seem so utterly small and unlike himself. Neither of them did, because the expression in their tone was more than enough. They sounded so sadly repentant and hopelessly lost in a confusing muddle of their own emotions. What they knew they wanted and what they were used to was something entirely different and unknown, and it was hard to adjust. It was difficult-almost impossible, really-to be so used to scraps and fragments of a normal life and then to suddenly be presented with this grand new viewpoint that they had been denied since that very first moment. It was just the same as having such a bland diet and then gorging oneself with tasty delicacies: it never worked out in the best interest of the consumer. They just had to ease their way into their lives and, maybe with time, they would gradually relax and learn that not everyone was necessarily bad or cruel, that there were kind and forgiving people still living and that, it was not a miracle to find a friend or two that was not holding secret strings attached to themselves.
Tain had opened her mouth to speak, her face having broken into a gentle, reassuring smile that was meant solely for comfort. They had not offended her or harmed her and, as far as she knew, there was not law against startling someone. Nor crime had been committed and no blood spilled, so what did it matter, honestly? "You don't have to apologize. Never apologize for who you are. People grow to love the flaws more than the perfections, you know? They set you apart, make you different. Don't ever forget that, because you aren't something to apologize for. Either of you." The Greenrider hugged the towel around her body tighter as Mistith's wings left her, hugging against her lithe little body before she gracefully stepped around Hers, wandering over to Typhith and carefully extended her neck. For a moment, she checked to see if the action was safe but, her instincts overruled her and she allowed her head to touch the lowest point of his shoulder where his limb met his torso, because that was all her height of thirteen feet would allow. A gentle croon stumbled from her throat and she lightly brushed her jaw against him. Her touch was almost a caress in nature as she stroked the region tenderly for the space of a minute before pulling away and tilting her skull to catch the Emerald's saddened eyes. How could she not forgive him when he looked so crestfallen? So dejected and hurt that it wrenched at her heart strings and violently tore them to shreds, making it impossible to count the innumerable, tiny bits and pieces? Yes, her compassion would be her downfall, most assuredly, but none of that mattered now. She had to make right what she had indirectly caused, and it all started with that simple, locking stare of innocent, semi-worried eyes to Typhith's.
Please don't apologize. Mine was right: you are who you are and that is something quite special. Her tone shifted, becoming honey soft and so faint that Tain would only hear it through her Green's thoughts and and F'st probably not at all. You can't hate one part of someone and love the next: it doesn't work like that. I'm going to stick around until you decide that you don't wont me around anymore, because I honestly believe we can both do each other so much good with just the other as an influence in our lives. Ours could use it too. Let me help you, Typhith.
Word Count: 644 Notes: You made me so sad with that last post! =(

.::F'st~*~Typhith::. Ty lifted his head, his eyes shutting as Mistith caressed his shoulder gently. It was the sort of thing he wished would never stop, for not only did the action feel so wonderful against his hide, but the contact with the little Green, the forgiveness that the action told, lifted his guilt. Listening to her words though... Never had he heard such a kind thing from another, not even f'st could be so utterly sweet to him, for it wasn't F'st's nature to be so. It was true, they had been together with no one else for so long, that they were well accustomed to the ways of eachother, and things such as a look or a chuckle held much more meaning that met the eye, but never did either show such kindness to anyone as Mistith was showing to Ty. He blinked, his eyes softening their gaze until he looked at her with a sort of awe, and he crooned gently, as if worried he were dfreaming, that both he and F'st were having the same dream. //Little Green... Sweet Green... I fear if that is so, you'll be around for a long time to come.// A smile touched one corner of the Emerald's maw in a lopsided expression, and he sighed, his concern and guilt easing away slowly like the ebb of the tide. Carefully, he extended his neck, to touch the soft hide of Mistith's own shoulder, so small compared to his. He didn't stroke the shoulder, but rest his muzzle there for a moment in thanks, his warm breath washing out over her until he finally forced himself to turn and look at His. //F'stOwn...// He wanted to talk to his rider, but oddly he knew not what he wanted to say. It mattered not, for F'st nodded slightly, as if understanding what the Emerald wanted. Ah, he was a good man, Ty thought mentally, no matter what happened, His was always there. Watching Ty's actions, and finally hearing the Emerald try to express himself to him, F'st sighed, nodding to the dragon and turning to Tain. He wasn't sure how anyone could be so willingly open, so utterly sweet and lovely, and open, all at once, but he thanked Faranth that she was. He watched her, taking in her comforting smile, one that melted the tension that had gripped his heart like a fire a block of ice, how sure she was, that there was nothing wrong with them, that they were perfectly fine, and wonderful, as they were. Would she still say that if Ty caught Mistith in the comming flight? Would she even want to see the Emerald in the flight? //All they need do is give me a word and I'll remove myself from the chase.// Of course, Ty was listening in on his thoughts, trying to muddle things out as well. "Thanks Tain." He smiled slightly, the same lopsided smile that Ty carried so well. Like rider like dragon. "So, we'll be waiting for you at the beach. Ty will be devastated if you both don't show." With an attempt to lighten the mood, F'st glanced to the dragon, who'd tilted his head slightly as he pondered what his rider was doing. F'st wasn't the most comfortable in social situations, and with how serious, and how intimate this one was turning, he'd looked for a scapegoat. It wasn't that he didn't want to talk to Tain about such things, to trust her entirely and spill his heart, but he was unaccustomed to it, to even thethought of it, and it frightened him. Realizing what His was doing, the Emerald groaned, rumbling softly and nodding. At least it was true, he'd hate to see the pair not show up, he was looking foward to the day at the beach. Word Count: 758 Character: F'st of Typhith Notes: Mistith made me warm and wriggly. XP She's so darned sweet I just wanna steal her and put her in my pocket. The future's bright but she is brighter. .:/Tain/.::.\Mistith\:. Tain exhaled a slow, gentle breath that she had not known that she had been holding. Thank Faranth, she thought to herself, dragging in a few lungfuls of clean, night air that brought a shudder to her frame. Despite the chill that the air had suddenly acquired and was slowly seeping into her marrow, though it was well worth it for a friend-two, actually-to have been made and a new alliance to be formed. Entirely disregarding the time it had taken for a situation to be avoided, because that did not necessarily matter, really, Tain felt rather good about the whole event. Who would? Her dragon had managed to find comfort in the form of a companion who did truly seem to care if she lived or died besides her rider and, just the same, Tain had made a connection-however little it was still a step that had been taken-with Typhith's rider. There was no true downside to this, or at least not one that came immediately to mind. Just as the Emerald had said, he could and would pull himself out from Mistith's flight if is so escalated to where he needed to. He would never harm the sweet little Green who was helping him to rediscover the light, and so there were no shadows for doubt to linger in Tain's mind as her chin tilted defiantly up for F'st, eyes glistening in the brilliance as she spoke with the purest form of confidence.
"Oh, we will be there. Likewise, Mistith would be disappointed. She loves to play endlessly, and depriving her of someone who actually will scuffle with her is not something I would choose to do willingly, because it means that I would become her play partner again." A smirk touched her lips as she watched her dragon shake her slim, wedged shaped head and let out a snort of faint amusement. Oh you big baby. You used to win when we were younger, so I don't see why you're complaining now. You still almost win at times. Now, stop being silly and get your things together: you are cold and need your rest for your duties tomorrow as well as our beach venture. I don't want you to be snoozing and leave F'st with no one to talk to while Typhith and I enjoy ourselves.] Yes mom, Tain grinned, moving down to the shore and scooping up her little jar of oil as well as the rags that should have been used to clean the Green but failed to meet their purpose that day. And don't you forget it, Mine. An aimless chuckle seized her, humor scorching her honey lyrics as she walked back up the little incline and turned back around to face F'st before she left for bed.
"I'll see you tomorrow. And, you better be ready to learn something. I'm going to teach you how to wave catch. Goodnight." She winked playfully at the Emeraldrider before whirling around and bounding away, almost as though she were dancing or as gracefully as a doe passing through the sheltered woods. Behind her, Mistith bide her polite farewell and goodnight wishes to F'st before turning around the stare up at Typhith, a small smile on her maw that caught hold of her eyes as she spoke. Typhith, you especially. rest well and at ease, because you really don't have to worry anymore. There are so many things in this world that you do have to worry about, when to be on time, what duties that need done, when the next Gathering is, and things like that. This isn't one of those times, I promise. Just lean back and stop thinking because, often times, that drowns you more than saves you. Slow down and let me teach you to listen rather than speak, to feel rather than read, for it's out of the darkness that we learn to see, and out of the silence that songs come to be. The Green gave a very loving, departing croon to the larger dragon, her wings tucking to her sides as she turned and bounded away after Hers with the same prancing motion to her steps.

.::F'st~*~Typhith::. Typhith and F'st watched the pair go, as the Green and her rider almost danced off for the night, both males sighed softly, looking at eachother before starting to laugh, F'st's more of a quiet, subtly chuckle, Typhith in a deep rumble. They had seen the look on eachother's faces after the females had left, and it was hard to not laugh at that. Both were, to say the least, smitten by the enchanting pair, and it had shown. F'st shook his head, getting control of his mild laughter, and looking up at Typhith for a moment. "Well, I suppose we should head back as well. Or do you have any other meetings you wish to unexpectedly drop me into?" Smirking, he knew there were none, for Ty was getting a little sleepy himself, and was looking back at their weyr hopefully. //None at the moment. Let us sleep now.// He crouched, and F'st hauled himself onto the Emerald, holding tight to the ridge in front of him as the dragon surged from the ground, high enough that he could glide to his weyr lazily. As they settled to the ledge, F'st slide to the floor and went to his bed, laying on the furs and looking up at the ceiling while Ty settled himself ont his couch, both looking foward to the days to come, and drifting slowly to sleep.
