"Mmm, free time!"
The female called out happily, to no one in particular, as she walked across the shoreline close to Verixon Hold. She'd been such a good little helper that the women had been more than willing to give her a day off. Well, in reality they were glad to be rid of accidents in the kitchen for one day -- and though they loved the girl dearly, they all agreed it was better to send her out some place where she couldn't cause much harm. Last time she had almost managed to slice someone else's finger instead of a vegetable, and it wasn't the first time either...
Of course, blissfully unnaware of it all, the fourteen turn old strolled down the shoreline with a cheery face, a sweet pastry in one of her hands. She'd been allowed a few at lunch, and even managed to sneak out a couple more on her way out. This was the last one left -- and she happily bit into it while letting her bare feet leave their foot prints in the sand. Here shoes were off somewhere... Though by now the girl had forgotten where she'd left them. Not that it mattered, not when she was enjoying her treat.
"Mmmm!!! They always make such delicious pastries for lunch! I could eat a whole sea full of them!"
Ah, blissfulness and innocence... How good it was to have them by your side.
Word Count: 248 Characters: Iaine Notes: I know, it's short and crappy. X3 First time role playing such a problem-free character, so this might take some getting used to. XD

I'm going home, gonna load my shotgun Wait by the door, light a cigarrette. He wants a fight well now he's got one, and he ain't seen me Crazy yet. Slapped my face and shook me like a ragdoll, Does that sound like a real man?
~*Kisa\\//Sylvith*~ An exhuberant cry rang out through the air, two figures came from Between with a rush of cold air, the large form of a Snow arching over the ocea, her jaws parting as a loud, echoing bellow rang out, crashing down onto the ears of anyone nearby in a brassy wave. Sylvith crowed her delight in her considerably louder lyrics as Kisa sat astride her, arms flung wide to welcome the world, and her head thrown back, her mouth open as she too hollared to no one in particular. It felt good to get out! The Snow was clean, the white of her hide shining with an almost blinding brilliance, a stark contrast to her inky paws and tail, just as the rosy gold hues of her head, neck, and wings seemed almost odd. But oh was she a sight! The Snow, on the large scale for her color, the size of a small Amber, arched through the sky, spinning gleefully in thermals and dropping low to skim the water. Who was going to scold them here? Surely Xyurith and N'nika couldn't, for they were not insulting anyone with their folly now. The Weyr couldn't frown, for if anyone was watching, they would simply see a Snow preforming a wide array of maneuvers, perhaps a good thing for them to see, in order to remind them that the dragons were not so slow as an Amber. One way or another, the pair didn't really care. They'd messed up by visiting Talune, but this was a Hold that tithed to them, not another Weyr, and it was lunchtime, not early in the morning. Sylvith climbed through the sky, her wings rowing through the air in powerful, sweeping strokes, Kisa leaning foward as if to reduce the flow of air, which was exactly what she was doing. Not that it mattered much. The woman stood at barely 5', compared to the Snow... Well it was amusing to see them side-by-side, and to see how gently the Snow behaved towards her diminutive rider. As they reached their goal altitude, Sylvith curved her figure, twitsing in the air as her pinions folded to her sides, flipping herself ao that she dove, straight as an arrow, at the water. Of course she knew the water below was deep enough for such an action, and both rider and dragon seemed to urge faster at the water, a streamlined blur that sped at the water with great speed, until with a giant splash they hit the surface, water spraying up in all directions to fall in a heavy rain as the pair surfaced, Kisa's laughter drowned out by Sylvith's rumbling amusement. The two argued playfully, the Snow teasing her rider, ribbing her, swearing Kisa had, at the very last moment, been afraid, as the Snow started to swim to shore, her wings acting as oars along with her legs, propelling her smoothely, and quickly, through the water. When Sylvith' paws touched bottom, both sets of eyes turned to the shore, and low and behold, there was a girl. Had she seen their daring play? She looked young, perhas she was simply a child who'd seen little, and who would forget it all quickly. Sylvith twisted her head about to Kisa, placing her head so the woman could grab onto the dragon's headknobs and be set on the ground. Unstrapping herself, for Kisa had decided it might be wise to use straps today, Kisa grabbed hold of her dragon, swinging herself around even as the Snow lowered her skull and landed Kisa's booted feet firmly on the sandy ground. Turning to face the girl Kisa waved merrily, and brushed her dark hair from her face. She was soaked, as was only natural, and her long clothing clung ot her in a dripping mess, but she didn't seem to notice. Instead, she opened her mouth to greet the girl. "Hello there, I don't suppose you're from Verixon? You may not know us, but I'm Kisa, and this is-" //This is Sylvith, the Snow, and junior queen of New Cove. I am perfectly capable of introducing myself now Mine, I'm no silly Green though I'm sure you'd prefer it.// Mockingly the snow rolled her eyes, as if it were the most natural thing in the world for a pair to bicker so. Of course, the poor girl might well be scared half to death by now, for a dragon so large as herself talking with no warning at all could easily come as a bit of a shock. Ah well, living with Sylvith was always interesting, to say the least. Word Count: 890 Character: Kisa of Sylvith Notes: Yipee for my beloved Snow! *huggles Sylvith* I adore her so, and I can never get enough of her.

It was the sound of the dragon what alerted Iaine, the girl turning her brown eyes to the sky -- trying to spot the creature It was hard at first, for with all the clouds and the sun... Well, it was hard to discern Sylvith among it all, and keep her eyes on the dragon's white hide when it reflected so much light. Thankfully enough a cloud rolled over, obscuring Rukbath for a few moments -- enough to allow the child to glimpse and drewl over the gorgeous Snow. Even from that high up she seemed big, and so clean! A giggle of excitement left her lips, and the girl dashed across the sand for a more nicer spot to view the pair. The woman on the dragon's back was barely visible, though Iaine knew that every dragon had a rider -- and that they were almost always together.
As she found a nice spot she sat down, enjoying the tricsk and manouvers Sylvith displayed in the sky. The pastry was on her mouth -- coontinuing to be nibbled -- while the girl clapped in excitement at every twirl, twist or turn the Queen made. Finally she rose up high, before diving into the sea -- a curtain of water raised to the sky. The watered shimmered, for Rukbath was exposed once more, and the dropplets almost seemed like jewels falling towards the ocean. Quite a marvelous performance, really. The last bit of her pastry was devoured quickly and the girl stood to move to the shoreline when dragon and rider came closer.
"That was so awesome!!" She'd called out, way before the Jr. Weyrwoman was deposited safetly into the sands. "I can't believe you both dove together like that into the sea! Wasn't it scary?!"
A bombardment of questions was there to receive Kisa as soona s she set a booted foot on the sand. Iaine's eyes sparkled with excitement, and it was clear the child was more than thrilled about the free act she had just observed. And what child wouldn't be? After all, they all dreamed at onbe point or another about dragons -- and this had definitely been a rare treat.
"Hello there, I don't suppose you're from Verixon? You may not know us, but I'm Kisa, and this is-" This is Sylvith, the Snow, and junior queen of New Cove. I am perfectly capable of introducing myself now Mine, I'm no silly Green though I'm sure you'd prefer it.
Her expression changed from one of excitement and curiosity to one of shock -- though the look only lasted a few moments before her eyes grew wide, and a large smile was plastered on her face. A dragon had spoken to her. And not just any dragon, but such a beautiful one as Sylvith! Had it not been because she knew of the rank of the dragon and rider the girl would have probably dashed there and then to the ocean to touch the pretty hide of the Snow. Still, though her veins were currently over-runned with happiness and thrill, Iaine did remembered her manners.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Kisa & Sylvith. I'm Iaine! And yup, I was born in Verixon!"
Word Count: 555 Character: Iaine Notes: Whooo!!! Happy and overly-excited fourteen turn old girl! XD

~*Kisa\\//Sylvith*~ Sylvith rumbled, shoving her nose close o the girl, only to be swatted at by Kisa. With a snort the Snow tossed her head for a moment, as if insulted that she be denied an inspection of this lass. "Don't mind her, she's in a rather vocal mood today. Scary?" Kisa chuckled softly, shaing her head at the lass. She'd watched the girl dash up, and had been baraged by questions. If the girl had been a bit older Kisa might have been a bit intimidated, however, with her spirits high (a likely side effect of Sylvith's flight comming up soon mingled ith their arobatics) it was hard to be on the wary side, or even be brooding. No, she wanted to simply enjoy the day, for it was a beautiful one. "What is there to fear? Sylvith would never drop me, or let me come to harm, would you dear?" Kisa spoke the last as if she had to question herself on that matter, sweetly, her saphire eyes wide and innocent. Sylvith's maw cracked into a wide, wolfish grin, and playfully, at least so far as Kisa and the Snow were concerned, snapped at the small woman, as if meaning to remove her head. //Hurt you? Oh no! You're end will be quick and painless, just because I happen to like you.// With a quick move, she opened her jaws, and closed the over Kisa, the rider chuckling and sitting atop the Snow's tongue. //Much better, now little one, what of you? Have you a name, or shall I simply take to calling you...// She seemed to frown, ignoring the fits of laughter from Kisa that echoed off the cavern of her maw. "Hey! Tiny, you mind letting me breath? You keep this up and that poor girl will be scared out of her wits!" With a roll of her eyes and a grumble, Sylvith opened her mouth and deposited Kisa on the ground again, rumbling delightdly at the care she'd taken not to harm the rider. Though, all the better, Kisa was covered in saliva. This sent the pair of them into another fit of laughter, until Kisa had to hold up a hand and walk to the water to rinse off. When she returned, Kisa gave a scolding look to the Snow, and cleared her throught. "I think we may have gotten off to a poor start there. I am Kisa, rider of Snow Sylvith, Junior Weyrwoman of New Cove Weyr, and we are greatly pleased to meet you." Oh she hated formal introductions, as did Sylvith, and both made it obvious by the way one spoke, and the other let her gaping maw open in a cavernous yawn, that was more than a bit exagerated. //KisaMine you are so very dull. Remind me again, why exactly did pick you of all those lovely candidates? I could have had a girl like this one for all you know. She seems like she might be fun to taunt.// At that, the Snow perked up, her eyes whirling with interest and scheming deviousness. Of cours,e so far everything either had said had been spoken openly, allowing the lass in on the whole conversation. Word Count: 640 Character: Kisa of Sylvith Notes: *dances*

It had been through slightly disappointed eyes that she had seen the SNow pull away after Kisa's swat -- she had been oh so tempted to touch the snout of hte great beast to see how it felt.
Much better, now little one, what of you? Have you a name, or shall I simply take to calling you...
Well, perhaps she'd spoken to fast. Or perhaps her name was rather hard to grasp? Either way the lass didn't minded repeting herself a second time. After all, this pair seemed like fun company.
"I'm Iaine!"
She watched through curious eyes the antics of the Snow -- and the whole conversation that she was allowed to hear only made the girl feel less... Surprised by the new voice in her mind. The more she watched Kisa and the Snow the more she forgot that it was unusual for a dragon to bespeak another person that wan't their rider. The poor child, she hadn't even the slightest of clues as to how tricky and devious a Snow could be. Innocence... Such bliss.
As the rider went off to wash herself, for being inside a dragon's mouth certainly means you'll be covered in saliva, the girl actually dared to waddle over a bit closer to where the dragon was -- trying to be as unnoticeable as possible. Of course, with the splashing sound the water made with each step she took... Well, only a deaf dragon and rider wouldn't notice her movements.
She seems like she might be fun to taunt.
In all her effort to approach the Snow as silently as the waves allowed her, the female had totally forgotten the presence of both -- or the conversation. So when the last comment sank into her brain, and was finally registered for a meaning, the female blinked before looking up at the massive Snow. Taunt her?
"But why?

~*Kisa\\//Sylvith*~ Sylvith gave herself a shake, and while Kisa was away, decided this was the perfect chance to take interest in the lass. Since the girl seemed interested in her, and was trying to inch closer, the Snow smirked, and promptly shoved her nose into the girl's gut, not so hard as to hurt, but enough to gently lift her off the ground somewhat. Taking care not to inhale the girl, she sniffed, tilting her head up slowly and warbling at her little act. //MineMine! Lookie here! Oh hurry your washing, my mouth is clean enough.// Kisa glanced from the water, and shook her head. "Sylvith, put her down you silly flit! One of these days you're going to hurt someone, you know. I'm not taking responsibility for it!" Hands on her hips the short woman stomped over to the Snow, glaring up at her until Sylvith grudgingly lowered her head to allow Iaine to slide off. With a shake of her head and a toss of her hands, Kisa gumbled to herself for a moment about some unknonw thing or other, before letting her sharp eyes focus on Iaine critically. Sylvith was to Rise soon, and there was a need of candidates. No one of age could be overlooked, for any reason. //I like her.// Sylvith had yet to say anything she excluded from the girl. Why was unknown, however, if the las hadn't yet gone running for fear the dragonmay well decide she was done with play and wanted to eat something, perhaps she wasn't such a bad idea for a candidate. The sheer size of the Snow, though er Amber mate was much larger, was often more than enough to make many step back, and keep that distance, however, this Iaine had crept closer. "All the more reason to leave her be, you wher. If we brought everyone you liked home with us there would be no room for the riders." //But I really like this one.// The Snow crooned softly, her eyes seeming to grow in their size until she looked sweetly innocent and pleading. "You bully." Kisa kicked a bit of sand at the Snow, though not a grain touched her hide. "Why don't you ask her yourself then." //Maybe I will. Perhaps she could replace you. So snarky lately, you are.// Sylvith stuck her tongue out at Kisa, her shoulders shaking as she rumbled, effectively ruining any chance of her being taken seriously. When the Snow suddenly moved her snout close the female let out a small gasp, having inched back a tad bit out of natural reflexes. But as soon as the nose shoved into her gut, and Iaine realized she was in no danger [or at least nothing she defined dangerous] at all the female grinned. She could feel the slight tug at her clothing from when the Snow sniffed -- though thank Faranth she took care not to inhale the poor small child. And now, lifted up the ground a bit, the girl laughed in a childish matter, kicking her feet behind in an excited manner as she held on to the powerful snout. Sylvith's hide was really smooth, and nice and clean. She liked it.
"Wheeee!!! Higher, higher!" MineMine! Lookie here! Oh hurry your washing, my mouth is clean enough. "Sylvith, put her down you silly flit! One of these days you're going to hurt someone, you know. I'm not taking responsibility for it!"
As the Snow complied with the wish of her rider, and settled Iaine back safely on the ground, the girl pouted ever so lightly. That had been fun, and Sylvith was being careful [not that Iaine knew much about carefulness], so why did it had to end? I like her. The comment made her giggle slightly, a smile spreading on the fourteen turn old girl's lip. "I like you too." It was an honest reply, the girl really found Sylvith to be nice and funny. And Kisa seemed nice too, even if she looked a bit grouchy at the moment. Then again, Iaine didn't knew much about dragon flights and rising -- so she had no idea on how a impending flight could bend the moods and personalities of the riders.
"All the more reason to leave her be, you wher. If we brought everyone you liked home with us there would be no room for the riders. But I really like this one. "You bully. Why don't you ask her yourself then." Maybe I will. Perhaps she could replace you. So snarky lately, you are.
As the conversation had taken place, and the Snow had apparently included her in the matter again, the female blinked in mild confusion. She'd kind of trailed off around the middle -- she could have sworn she'd seen a green firelizard in the distance -- and had returned back to catch the last remarks of the Snow, and her rumbling. Apparently they were talking about going somewhere?
"Are you guys going?"
The question was accompanied by a sad look, the girl's eyes widening as much as Sylvith had done previously, glazed over with a hint of sadness. Were they leaving now? But she had been having such a good time... Perhaps she shouldn't have gotten too close to the Snow. Maybe that had bothered Kisa, or something?

~*Kisa\\//Sylvith*~ Kisa and Sylvith both looked from one another to Iaine and back again, both with very serious faces, grave, as if avery serious matter had just arisen. In fact, one had. For the first time sonce meeting Iaine, Sylvith spoke to Kisa alone, and Kisa to Sylvith. //She will Impress from me. I've never been wrong before.// The Snow was somber, for in general, of New Cove it was the Bones and Ices that were known for searching. In general, it was the Blues and an occasional Brown. A rare Bronze or other king might stumble across someone while out and about it a hatching was near, but not often. The thought of a queen searching out a candidate, for a clutch that hadn't been conceived yet, and telling her rider that she was utterly positive, without trace of doubt, that the girl would Impress of her clutch, was, to say the least, hard to accept. Kisa narrowed her eyes at the large dragon, thoughtfully, and frowned. /You are sure, aren't you... And if she doesn't want to become a candidate?/ //Who would not want to become a rider of a dragon clutched by me? I am the first Snow, and the only queen. That alone is title enough for many.// As the two debated the pros and cons of such an action, and a descision, they continued looking from eachother to Iaine. Finally, Kisa nodded slightly, and though she let a small smile touch her lips, her saphire eyes remained serious. /Ask her, see how she responds. I trust you, my lovely, overgrown wher./ Affectionately she said this, for it was something of a nickname, just as she called N'nika Kisa on occasion. Sylvith warbled and turned ehr attention fully to the girl, again allowing the conversation to include her. //Little one, would you like to ride a dragon someday?// She looked at the girl closely, just as Kisa did, both looking for signs that she would indeed make a rider someday, and that she'd like the thought, or rather reality, of being a candidate. Kisa wondered absently what, if the girl Impressed, she would get. A Green? It was becomming a rare thing to see a dragon in New Cove that wasn't a mutation, so a Green would be unlikely. Maybe an Ice, to balance her out some, though such serious little dragons they were it would be amusing to see the pair. But no, that didn't seem right either. What in Faranth's name would the girl Impress, and why was Sylvith so sure of herself? Word Count: 528 Character: Kisa of Sylvith Notes: Don't have much at all to say for once.

As the mood turned more somber and quiet -- and she could no longer hear Sylvith or Kisa -- the female blinked in mild surprise, and confusion. Had she done something wrong? Maybe they were mad because she had spaced out? A look of worry took over her facial features, and her eyes glinted with a faint sadness. Were they leaving because of that, and were wondering if to tell her or not? Still, as much as she wanted them to stay the girl remained silent for once -- not daring to interrupt what ever conversation was going on between rider and dragon.
Little one, would you like to ride a dragon someday? "I didn't meant to, I swea- Huh? A dragon? Of course! That would be so awesome!!! Flying over the skies and twirling... And going RAWR RAWR RAWR at thread!"
And she was gone... Yup, little Iaine's mind had wondered off again, the girl's arms extended as she pretended to fly and twirl, splashing around happily. Oh, she would definitely love to become a rider one day, it would be so spectacular! To be bonded to a dragon nice and fun, and do all the tricks like the ones Sylvith and Kisa had done today!
Oh yes, such a wonderful dream...

~*Kisa\\//Sylvith*~ Sylvith blinked in mild suprise at the girl's reaction, for she seemed to forget about everything so absorbed did she become in her fantasy of flight. Smugly, she glanced to Kisa, and rumbled, her neck arching rather proudly at the obvious delight the girl took in the thought. //Iaine, come back over, I am not done talking to you silly. You see, I want you to stand at my next hatching. I think you would make a fine young rider for one of my hatchlings.// Conveniently she neglected to say the clutch was not to come for some time, but she would be sure this girl was there, one way or another. Kisa started laughing as she watched the girl. Oh she had no idea just what it was like to fly, for while often it looked smoothe and peaceful, flying dragonback could be dizzying, rough, and jerking. More so when the dragon enjoyed such things, like Sylvith did. "What she means to say, Iaine, is that we would like to have you as a candidate for New Cove Weyr. Sylvith seems sure that you'll Impress, and I'm not going to argue with her." She raised a brow, trying to keep her chuckling repressed and mostly silent. It wasn't exactly polite to laugh oneself to death while searching out a candidate. At least Kisa didn't think it was. Word Count: 317 Character: Kisa of Sylvith Notes: Blech. "Huh? Oh, coming!" The girl grimmed, dashing back over to where Sylvith and Kisa were -- and so much very happy now. At least she knew they weren't mad at her. When Sylvith's and Kisa's next words hit home the female blinked a few times, non-responsive, before a huge smile crossed her face. "Really?!?! Oh, thankyouthankyouthankyou!!!!" She then proceeded to glomp the Weyrwoman [perhaps even back into the water if the woman didn't react fast enough] and then to cling at one of Sylvith's front arms in gratitude.

~*Kisa\\//Sylvith*~ Kisa, entirely unprepared for Iaine's reaction, did indeed fall back into the water, stumbling and trying to catch herself with no success. For several moments she stared up at Sylvith, trying to decide what had just happened, until she noticed the Iaine had attached herself to the Snow's large forelimb. Ah. Well, that was a large difference from how she had personally reacted, then again... Kisa shuddered delicately as her mind swiftly forced her back to that fateful day, back to scrubbing the floors of Tondrick Hold, to taking endless beatings, and to the darker parts of her heart. She'd seen a dragon that day, for it had been drawn to the Hold by her t seemed, unknowingly hunting her down. What would have happened if Yorth and D'kun hadn't come? How many men would she have had to bring to a miserable demise, just to unsure the survival of her own hide? Thank Faranth for escape from that miserable place, and for her Impression of what had at first been called a giant White, but later learned to be a Snow. No words left the woman's lips, but her gaze softened as she watched Sylvith, the snow dipping her head to look down at the young girl. Yes, if it hadn't been for the Snow, Kisa would never have found her happier side, the side which had been captured perfectly in their mid-air play. Her saphire eyes, once the only part of her that contained any fight, and even then dim, closed for a moment, hoping that Sylvith was capable of keeping their new candidate usy for at least a few moments. Sylvith rumbled, looking at the girl with amusement. //Well little one, have you any family we should go talk to? I am sure they would not mind you comming, as you are being Searched by a queen, but it is only decent of us to tell them.// Rumbling softly, she subtly started to turn herself and hopefully with her Iaine, away from Kisa while the woman took a moment to collect herself. //Perhaps Kisa would even let us fly there.// The snow of course made the words sound lincredible, as if it would be the greatest of treats, as she glanced back to Hers, receiving a small nod, to say she was fine. Good. Sylvith hated to see the rider when she was struck by thoughts of her past, of her days before the Weyr, and more often than not it was hard for the woman to drag herself to the present, where her life was far from hard or painful. But alas, since Kisa carried with her a litiny of scars, it was hard to entirely forget things. Kisa pulled herself to her feet, looking at her thoroughly drenched clothing, long sleeves and leggings clinging to her once more. Well, so much for hoping to be dry by the time they went Between again. "I think we could fly, if it isn't too close." She forced a smile, and though her voice was mildly strained, it showed little else. The Jr. Weyrwoman's delicate moment with the past went unoticed to the young girl, so focused was Iaine on Sylvith at the time -- as well as trying to make sure that her grip was strong enough so she didn't slide down the dragon's forelimb. As Sylvith had dipped her head to look at Iaine closer the girl the girl had tried to touch the snout of the Queen -- which ended in her losing her grip and splashing into the water below. She emerged, drenched, but with a happy smile on her face as she giggled. That had been FUN!
Well little one, have you any family we should go talk to? I am sure they would not mind you comming, as you are being Searched by a queen, but it is only decent of us to tell them.
The words got her thinking, and the happy smile and look even disappeared from her face for a few moments. She should tell Nikia, she was her mother after all... Though the girl highly doubted the woman would even care -- perhaps she'd ridicule the whole idea.
Ah, but the thought of standing at a hatching filled with pretty baby dragons and impressing one... It was so hard to resist. Especially if they would be born out of the Snow -- that way it'd be having like a little piece of Sylvith with her always. And the Snow was just so sweet and fun and kind... "Well, momma should be in the kitchens right now... I suppose I should let her know I'll be going awa-- Whoa! Can we really fly over there?! Really, really, really?!" In a moment she'd forgotten her small internal debate, eyes lighting up again at the proposal of a flying trip with isa and Sylvith. The Snow made it sound like such an awesome adventure -- of course Iaine was more than willing to follow along and go through with it! At Kisa's confirmation the girl leaped out of joy, before attempting to glomp the woman a second time.
"Oh, thank you thank you! You make Iaine so happy, happy, happy!!!"

I'm going home, gonna load my shotgun Wait by the door, light a cigarrette. He wants a fight well now he's got one, and he ain't seen me Crazy yet. Slapped my face and shook me like a ragdoll, Does that sound like a real man?
~*Kisa\\//Sylvith*~ Sylvith gave a merry rumble as Kisa was agani tackled into the water. Ah, Hers should learn to be more careful. REally, the girl wasn't so large, not that Kisa was a behemoth herself or anything, but still, it was the principle. Kisa, after picking herself up out of the water and detaching the enthusiastic girl, smiled and nodded. "Yup, I don't think the two of usee will weight that monster down, do you?" Giving the girl a playful nudge, not enough to send her flying by any means, but more a little tap, and chuckled. "Race you to her back." Of course, it was a given the rider would win that one, she knew the lay of the dragon better than anyone, and without waiting for an answer she had sprinted to the Snow, vaulting to first the dragon's forelimb, then to her shoulder, the haul herself up using the thick muscles as steps for her tiny booted feet. Sylvith rumbled pleasently, and dipped her head to the sand, eyeing the girl deviously and winking. //You know, if you can get yourself a good grip on my head I can put you up on my back long before Kisa can get there.// Rumbling, she pressed her muzzle to the sand, making it as low as she could so Iaine would have a good chance of hanging on. Kisa, from her current place just over half-way up the Snow to the neck ridges, let out a trickle of laughter and mock-glared at the dragon. "You cheater! You aren't supposed to give her the easy way."Word Count:354 Character: Kisa of Sylvith Notes: T-T craptastic, whee... Sorry.

"Race you to her back."
It had all happened quickly, Kisa's affirmation that they could go flying back to the Hold and her playful challenge. The female blinked, taking a moment to fully understand, before a grin spread widely on her face. Races were so fun! Oh, but Sylvith was so big... She watched the Jr. Weyrwoman start her ascend up the dragon's side -- Kisa clearly knew where the best place to step on was and soon she was close to half way there. There was absolutely no chance that Iaine would be able to catch up. The girl would probably fall a few times to the water before she even managed to climb up to Sylvith's shoulder...
You know, if you can get yourself a good grip on my head I can put you up on my back long before Kisa can get there. "Really?1 Ok, Sylvith!"
Ah, SYlvith to the rescue. The female giggled, watching as the Snow placed her head flat on the sand -- as low as she could muster. Looking for a moment she tried to decided where would she be safer -- as well as from where to climb on to avoid getting any sand on Sylvith's eyes. She finally settled for starting at the snout -- it was the lowest and flatest part -- and then carefully worked her way up. Finally she reached the begining of her neck ridges, holding on to the as she sat on the Snow's large head. Feeling secure enough she patted the Queen's forehead softly to let her know she was ready.
"Wheee! Up, Sylvith, up!'
Ah, this was so much fun and such a thrill.
