M'lon made his way from the man's weyr straightening his clothes and running a hand through his rumpled hair, his fingers tugging at the knots. Although his Okasrith may have lost the flight of Crimson Jassth earlier that morning, he had not been disappointed by the rider who had helped him to overcome the mating lust. They had parted amicably, arranging a meeting in the not too distant future, and M'lon whistled to himself as he made his way back to his own weyr.
Okasrith was curled up on his weyr couch, the most outer of his lids closed over his mutli-faceted eyes. However these snapped open as he heard his rider enter the weyr. }:Had fun I trust?:{ The blue asked lazily, shifting himself on the couch as he stretched out his sinuos neck, his wings half-stretched beside him.
M'lon made his way over to the blue and gave his neck an affectionate rub, **Of course I did. I'm just sorry you could not partake in it this time. But nevermind, I am sure it won't be long before there is another flight, and your up for a win soon** M'lon gave a grin, as his fingers trailed over the smooth hide. **Shall we go to the lake now so you can bathe? Surely you will want to wash off after the flight. I'll grab some sweet sand and oil for afterwards if you like.**
The blue nodded his head in agreement, already feeling better over the thought of a nice wallow in the lake and a good oiling to follow, as M'lon returned to an outer room grabbing the small bag of supplies. For such a short trip it was uncessary to use the flying straps, and so he climbed onto the dragons bear back, pack tucked under his arm as the blue made his way to the ledge and glided into the air. He took lazy circles as he was wont to do, down to the lake, where a few other dragons and fire lizards cavorted about. M'lon slid down the blue's side as they touched the ground, the dragon eager to enter the warm waters of the lake.
As the blue caused small waves to lap at the shore while entering the water M'lon spotted a rock in a patch of sun that would do him just nicely as he waited for the dragon to tire of swimming around and require lathering with soap sand.

Rearovin made his comfortable, but slow path fort. His eyes where narrowed slightly in thought, not even disturbed by the small wet nose pressed against his neck, his hand as if having a mind of its own petted the tiny kitten perched on his shoulder, letting it purr contently. He allows a small grim smile to touch his lips as he hears it, slowly he felt the skin on his hands and nose warm, signaling him that he was walking into the sun. He pondered for a moment why he didn't pull on some better clothes for the outside, but then shrugged it off, like he did with so many things before that.
He slowly pulled back, as if unwillingly to leave the save depths of his mind, looking at his hands. He still saw the blood staining them, the blood from his victims, persons that thought they could hurt him, just like his family did, a scowl twists his features in a cold mask now and balls his fists and closes his eyes tightly, pausing in his step "Why do you still hunt me?" He whispers softly, obvious to the phantoms in his own mind, a finely formed hand raising to press itself against his sleep, rubbing small circles.
He didn't really notice that unthanks that he thought the crimson liquid stained only his hands in his mind it also did in the present time. It was nearly dried, no one should know from what it was. He always could say it was from a wound from a dear friend or from a random animal he had found, no one denied, not even him, that he wasn't a good actor if needed. Though the lack of blood on his clothes could raise suspicion, not that he cared, he could still say that he changed clothes but couldn't get the blood from his hands. He wondered why he was thinking about that suddenly, no one had a reason not to believe him.
The only who knew the truth where him and the small kitten on his shoulder. He wouldn't tell anyone, he didn't want 'punishment' again, the kitten? The kitten couldn't talk so he was save from that side too. He smiles and continues his path cheerily and continues to outside, towards the lake he could already see, it was always interesting to see the riders with their dragons, although the blue rider and his dragon stopped him in his tracks.

M'lon had been idly twirling a blade of grass between his long, slender fingers as he watched Okasrith splash around. A green fire lizard had attached himself to the blue, and both seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. M'lon gave a yawn and rotated his shoulder blades in an attempt to loosen the muscles. **Perhaps after this I should take a nap,** he mused, the exertions from the morning starting to take its toil and the warm sun on his back adding to the sleepiness he felt. He was tempted to look for some grass to curl up on, the rock while a comfortable seat would hardly make a surrogate bed, but surely as soon as he drifted off Okasrith would require the soap sand.
However he then spied Rearovin approaching the lake. **Brilliant, company, I won't be able to fall asleep when I talk to someone!** He waved at the young man, but then noticed he seemed rather preoccupied so he called to the Candidate again. "Rearovin, how are you? Are you busy? If not come and join me here." He patted the stone next to him invitingly.
Rearovin was one of the Candidates he and Okasrith had brought to the Weyr. They had found the boy walking alone in what was a rather reputable area on the outskirts of Nusa Hold, and M'lon had been rather anxious for him. The man hardly looked like he could defend himself with his body type, and it appeared as if he had carried no weapons upon him. And while he may not have been the friendliest young man, there had definitely been potential there, and M'lon and Okasrith were rather good at what they did.
He waited for the Candidate to come closer and then gave the man a smile, wondering what his fascination with his hands were, but giving a shrug at the thought. It was no use pressing the man for questions, he had discovered that on the return flight to the Weyr. Most Candidates were usually more than happy to divulge their stories, but this one had remained stonily silent for the majority of the ride. "So how's the life of a Candidate treating you? Are you enjoying it? I hope so, I know I did some many Turns ago." M'lon happily chattered away, having hardly paused for breath during his tirade of questions.
}:Don't scar him off, just take a breath and see if he answers you,:{ Okasrith advised from the water.
**Yes, yes of course. I just thought if I asked enough questions he would answer something.** M'lon nodded to himself.

His head snaps up as he hears a -very- familiar voice. He nearly scowls, just his luck, the other male didn't know when he had to hold silent it seemed most of the time, more than once he wanted to wrap his fingers tightly around his throat, squeezing softly, with another jolt he shook himself harshly and breathed out no use to get 'exited' now He thinks silently to himself.
As the other male asked he came closer, forcing his face in what had to appear as a smile but came out more as a grimace and he bows his head lightly "I am fine.." He replies softly, eyes straying to his hands again and in a reflex placed them behind his back, like a small child almost being caught stealing cookies from the jar "What about you?" He didn't seem interested in the reply but only asked to be polite. He brushed the clothes back a little and seated himself, careful to keep a good distance between the two of them.
He of course didn't answer the smile, nor did he mind that he appeared rude to the other, he had given his smile already for the day to the other, somewhat what did they expect of me, that I held my heart on my sleeve? He silences himself abruptly they did somewhat, normal candidates would do that, wouldn't they? He had to smile inwardly at that and gazed at the other, but then turned it towards the lake and towards the blue splashing happily.
He remembered like yesterday when the other male and his.. dragon -he still couldn't believe it that they- took him away! -HIM of all things! A murderer, an abused child..- He shakes his head mentally harshly again, there was absolutely no use to swallow into self-pity, pity for other people was foreign to him so no help from that side. His eyes turned slowly to the other and smiled grimly as if guessing the other's thoughts, but then the smile faded
"And no, I have the time to.. talk." His lips twitch in something that could appear like another smile, the tip of his boot digging in the ground, or trying too "I just came from visiting a... friend.." He let that slip on purpose "He's bed-ridden.." Another small twitch and he looks at the kitten, it had crawled from his shoulder and towards his lap, stretching slowly and settling itself, looking at the strange person with curious green eyes. He moved his hand and petted its head, making it purr lowly again.
He nearly forget that there was still blood on his hands so made up a few lies to answer different questions that the male could ask of him, he gazes at it absently once more and lets a small sigh escape his lips. His gaze returned his gaze to M'lon and nodded "Fine.." He replied, not offering anything else "It's better than the previous one I had.." He finally replied, finding the need to reply to that at least, it was nothing more than a faint whisper. He silenced himself yet again and listened silently, maybe there was something of use in that unneeded chatter?
He again smiles grimly, he had given more away than he was planning, having said more than he had planned, but was that because of him, or the other? His eyes narrowed thoughtfully and he reminded himself to not let himself slip like that again. He turned almost eerily silent, his gaze plastered on his hands once more.
(OoC: *fail at post* >.0 My hands! Hope you're happy with it ^_^;;/Rearovin: why do you make me so nice towards him? *sneers*/Me: because you like him! XD/Rearovin: *crosses arms and shakes his head slowly* I do not../Me: oohhh, you do! XP/Rearovin: *leaves, angrily mutters under his breath*/me: >=D)

M'lon notived the man's continual preoccupation with his hands, had tried to get a glimpse himself to see if perhaps the Candidate had hurt himself, but there was no sign of injury from the brief look he had receieved and so he settled himself back down on the rock assuming it was just another of the odd peculiarities of the Candidate. M'lon took no notice of the looks shot his way, or the undercurrent of dislike emnanting, these were things the bluerider were unable to comprehened and as such, at least as far as he was concerned, did not exist.
"Oh I am glad to hear it then. Hopefully it will not be too much longer until there is a Clutch on the Sands again. Have you ever been to a Hatching before? I don't suppose so if you were not brought up in the Weyr. But let me tell you there is no better feeling than that first moment of Impression." M'lon's eyes took on a distant appearance as he went over the fond memory. Perhaps Rearovin would come out of his shell somewhat when he Impressed. M'lon hoped so, otherwise weyrling life could be hard without a friend to encourage when you were feeling low, or to share a laugh with on th better days. "Have you thought about what color you would like to Impress?"
M'lon's gaze also travelled over to the blue in the water, and then turned back to Rearovin an idea having sprung into his mind. While the Candidate had always seemed rather reserved around himself, sometimes even frostily so, he seemed to have no qualms over the blue.
**Would you mind, Mine, if I asked Reaorvin to help me suds you up? It would be good practice and get his mind off whatever it is it seems to be mulling over.**
}:Not at all, it could serve him well in later Turns, :{ the blue rumbled, as he moved back to the bank closest to M'lon, rivulets of water dripping off his hide as he made his way onto land.
"I have a favor to ask of you Raerovin. Okasrith and I came here so he could have a bath. I was wondering if perhaps you would be able to help me rub the soapsand into him and then he can go back in the water and wash it off. It's not hard," M'lon added as he met the stony gaze, "it's just he's so big there is a lot of area to cover." In truth M'lon was so used to the task, and Okasrith small in comparison to some of Eden's dragons that the task was no hardship and M'lon could have easily done so himself. But he wanted to have Rearovin involved, show an interest in something. M'lon thrusted his hands into the lake to get them wet before pouring an amount of the sand into his hands, rubbing them together to create a thick lather. Then he proceeded to Okasrith rubbing his sudsy hands in smooth circles starting from the bottom of the right flank.

He sighs shortly again and shakes his head "Indeed, I never have been to a hatching before.." He smiles briefly, showing a brief flash of what seemed true happiness "You most likely should remember that.." He looks at the other, surprisingly without any hate, or more likely to a lesser degree. They hardened soon again and he gazed back at the water, this time at a random spot and not at the blue. He nods his head, lightly that no one not looking at him with an intense stare, would notice "I can.. believe that.." He thinks, unconsciously also saying it out loud "Sharing a mind with a being that truly can understand you.." A soft sigh "Shares everything.."
He shakes his head lightly, pondering, replying before he could control himself "A blue perhaps.." He murmurs, out loud so that the other wouldn't have to strain. He was actually now thinking about it, the other seemed to read his mind "Everything except for a bronze.." His features form themselves in a sneer "Can't see why they are so... 'loved'." A soft shake of his head "That everyone wants to Impress one..." He gazes at his hands again, curling them up tightly, but then suddenly relaxed, brought out by his thought by a soft mewl. The kitten had -feeling that the hand of his owner didn't stroke him- mewled. He looks down, brought out of his thoughts and a silent smile of apology crossed his features and he continued stroking the soft fur.
He notices the gaze on him and tenses lightly. He frowns and turns his head, answering the gaze readily, seeming that he wanted to know what the other thought. He saw something change in his eyes, but didn't know yet that it signaled the 'mind-speech' between a rider and his -or her- dragon. He frowns and turns his head abruptly towards the water again, not wanting to interrupt whatever possessed the other.
He sees the blue move to the shore. He only stood abruptly and took a few step backwards when the blue crawled on shore, part to evade the water dripping from the hide and maybe, because out of fear? His gaze turns to the rider again -he really, really needed to pay more attention to names- frowning.
The suggestion surprised him and his eyes widened, if he where indeed one to carry his heart on his sleeve his mouth would have fallen open A favor? His mind stuttered. He frowned again, features returning to their strict look once more and he slowly nodded "I shall help.." He said lightly "Although I realize good enough that you can wash him on your own.." He flashes a slight, amused grin, how unusual it was to feel his muscles do something else than sneer, frown or other 'unpleasant' expressions.
He walks to the edge of the lake and dips his hands into the water, first trying to wash the dried up blood off again. He pulled them out and took some of the sand and rubbed them, slowly moving to the dragon's flank and rubbed it in, holding out a wary look for sudden movements. He helped, he seemed to thrust the blue, but he didn't at all and realized good enough that the blue could hurt him good. The kitten, not happy with the lack of attention mewled again and jumped on the ground. The small, proud kitten walked -although he made sure that he and his owner stayed in each other's eyesight- to the head of the blue and looked up, interested.
(OoC: How unusual... I think he starts to feel at ease with your charrie >.0 *frowns and gazes at him, only to meet with a glare*)

M'lon was pleased the man had accepeted so readily. He was certainly different from the normal run-of-the-mill Candidates. But what that meant for Impression, the blue rider had yet to decide. After all it had been Okasrith who had alerted him to the young man's suitablitiy as a rider of the Weyr. It will surely be interesting to watch, M'lon mused.
"I am biased, but a blue makes a wonderful life partner, and you get lumped with none of the duties the higher ranked dragons are required to perform. Then again if you are suited to one those types of tasks a brown would be as equally suitable, or a braonze, although I think you have made your stance on those dragons quite apparent," M'lon's tone took on a light teasing tone. "And who knows perhaps the Clutch you Impress may hold an Onyx? However they are extremelly rare. As of yet the only one to Impress is Varanth to Weyrleader D'ron. But I am sure stranger things have happened." He grabbed another handful of soap sand and started to work on Okasrith's legs, they perhaps one of the dirtier parts of the blue due to their constant contact with the ground.
The dragon was stretching his body, allowing the two men sopaing him up to reach the nooks and crannys that dust and firestone residue managed to get into, revelling in the wonderful feeling of becoming clean. }That feels so nice, thank you for helping Mine. You have wonderful hands.:{ Okasrith bespoke both M'lon and Raerovin, though he had directed his comment at the latter.
M'lon gave a grin as he heard Okasrith, and looked over at Rearovin to watch the Candidate's reaction. M'lon had been startled to hear a voice fill his mind the first time he had heard a dragon speak, although he could not be sure that Rearovin had never heard a dragon's mind voice before. Who knew what company the young man kept around Talune, M'lon did not see the man as often as he saw most of the other Candidates.
"So do you think your family will come to watch you Impress?" The question had been an idle one, in no means an attempt to pry into his past. "You are more than welcome to invite them along, and I could even bring them here myself if you would like. Many Candidates have their parents and siblings watching on from the Stands when they Impress. My own came along, as many Turns ago as it has been since I Impressed, as well as my two sisters."
OOC: Yay! I think if he was to feel comfortable with anyone it would have to be M'lon. He's just too darned nice and accepting of people, some may call it naive, but he's a nice change from some of my more surly characters in the past ^^

He nods his head lightly, but remained looking at the hide of the blue. He smiled for a short moment "True, low rank is better.." He murmurs And it's easier to remain unnoticable.. He adds silently, pausing the rubbing for a short moment "So I did.." He murmurs, faking being surprised. He allowed a short smile to cross his features, still his muscles where not used to them and it came in a strange combination of a grimace and a true smile.
He loudly snorts, not noticing that he did this. He truly forget himself today "I, seeing someone Impress such a rare color?" He shakes his head slowly and takes more sand too. He gazes thoughtfully at it, then rubs his hands and then the hide of the blue, moving lower towards the paws trying to keep up with M'lon, still seeming to have a slight fear for a sudden movement and the claws, or teeth that could bury them self in his flesh "What kind of strange things?" He murmurs, seeming truly interested, although only his eyes tells of his eagerness to know more.
The kitten mewled again and looked at the blue 'beast', seeing that the dragon didn't show any interest, he became more daring and stepped closer, testing the air around the blue 'beast'.
He looks up with a jolt, surprised that his neck didn't crack at the abrupt movement, his eyes where wide with what seemed surprise and shock "Ehh.." He said smartly, not knowing what to say "Thank you?" He finally murmurs, looking down with his head, letting his hair fall in front of his face, hiding it from everyone. He slowly continues to the washing of the dragon. He feels the gaze of the blue's rider soon enough and lifts his head, raising an eyebrow, carrying a message with his eyes what was wrong, they being back to their slightly guarded and frozen state. He suddenly nods to himself and looks away, it had been a strange experience, feeling someone 'invade' his mind like that.
He looks down suddenly after the blue's rider asked the question, to avoid looking at both of them, not letting them see the hate he carried for them "I don't think they will come.." He said, his voice as acid and ice suddenly. He didn't like them obvious, very obvious. His hands curl up, nails digging in the blue's hide although he didn't notice "My mother's dead.." He shrugs his shoulders as if it wasn't that terrible of a loss and looks up, eyes burning with a bright emotion. His anger, close to being becoming insanity "And I would be delighted to see my brother and father again.." He hisses, then as suddenly as his anger had shown it disappeared and he turned "It was nice... talking and helping you, rider." He bows his head stiffly and walks away, equally as stiffly, back to the Weyr.
He, unnoticed by everyone, fighting an invincible fight to lock the memories back.
The kitten, still forgotten, mewled disapproving and followed behind Rearovin, tail held high to show them a nice look of his behind.
(OoC: Well.. Rearovin only seems utterly annoyed by it, but he loves the change, M'lon seems the only one not to tread him otherwise than he treads the other candidates.)

"Just...strange things." M'lon realised this answer was unacceptable and attempted to come up with a better example. "Like girls Impressing to colors previously thought to Impress males only. Or the powers that seemed to have evolved within the dragons of Black Sands. Things like that." It was not a good answer but it would have to do. Hopefully Rearovin understood what he was trying to say.
Okasrith looked down at the small bundle of fur that played around his feet. Luckily both M'lon and Raerovin were working on his hind legs, and he had a front leg free to gently bat at the curious creature. It was a strange thing, that was for sure, Okasrith thought. And so small, how easy it would be to not see the creature and accidently squash it beneath his foot. However its antics amused him, it was almost like a wingless fire lizard in the way it behaved, although without the ability to project images.
}:You should get a pet M'lon. A fire lizard or something like this thing at my feet.:{ M'lon looked up at Okasrith, using the back of his soapy hand to push some of the dark hair that fell across his face, **Oh, should I just. And why would I need something else to look after when I already have you?** His lips twitched in mirth, **However I may consider it. A fire lizard could be useful, and enough Clutches are found along the beach here.**
M'lon's attention returned to Raerovin, a peculiar expression having crossed the young man's face. What had he said to upset the young man? M'lon was sure the conversation had been harmless, and yet something had produced such a violent reaction. "I'm sorry to hear that about your mother. It must have been hard, and I hope it was swift," M'lon was fearful of a lingering death. When he died he wanted it to be swift and as a painless as possible, none of this dying by degrees.
"Thank you for helping, Rearovin," his voice trailing off as the man practically sprinted away from them. **Well that was rather odd, he is definitely different. Perhaps I should follow him, and see if he is alright?**
Okasrith watched the man walk quickly away and shook his head. }:No, I think he has to be alone for now. Perhaps if you see him again, approach the subject. But I do not think you will get anymore from him today. Have you finished with the soap sand?:{ The blue asked plaintively, in which M'lon nodded in agreement. }:Good then I am going to return to the lake and wash myself off,:{ the blue replied, before re-entering the water, wading out to the deeper, middle of the lake, and submerging his body until only his triangular head could be seen over the edge of the water.
OOC:I think that wraps it up Dae? What do you say?
