Weyrbowl The half of Solainoti's crater that can be accessed by the main vent, and sports a small paddock with enough turf and grass to support the herds of dragonfodder. The rock making up the walls and floor of the Bowl is a dull, red-tinged brown that is so dark it seems black. The heavy shadows between the vents make it a very dim space, but that's perfectly fine for these dragons used to night and the abyss. |

Lake Lavias - 1 Viewing A natural spring wells up in one corner of the Bowl. It is a geothermal spring: heated by the simmering molten rock still beneath the Weyr, though the water never rises above lukewarm. It is filtered through the volcanic rock so it has a crystal clear quality to it when it pools in the depression that was partly scooped out from the already-existing dip in the floor. Known to the Weyr as Lake Lavias |

Hatching Grounds The other half of Solainoti's huge hollow core exists as the Hatching Grounds. It is even worse lit than the Bowl, so when there is a need glows have to be brought in so that people and visiting dragons can see. The sand is mixed: the usual tawny grit, and lumps of Riosian of varying sizes meant as the life support system for the unborns. Be careful that a brooding queen doesn't sneak a bite or two! |

Star Stones Perched on the rim of the main vent are the Starstones; this is Solainoti's watchpost. The ledge is big enough for a Tempest to rest on without overflowing, leaving plenty of room for the usual sentries. Be wary of the flits that are often found scurrying about, because they tend to up and bite riders in the arse when their turf is invaded! |

Infirmary - 1 Viewing Consisting of several rooms linked together, this is a place dedicated to making people well. There is a room with several beds for those needing a healer's constant attention. There are also rooms where the Healer's and their apprentices live, along with offices for the Healers and their records. Another room houses an apothecary full of sundry herbs set to cure, vials, and dried powders brought from Jynaier Hold. It smells of numbweed and many other remedies, and the scent never fades regardless of cleaning. Shelves and chests line most of the walls, making use of all the space they can. It's also where clean linens and sterile bandages are stored. |

Lower Caverns Part of the natural warren of tunnels and caves that teem within the old volcano, the lower caverns are all naturally-formed and only needed a few improvements. They contain a formal dining hall, a canteen for informal meals snatched at random, the kitchens and storerooms, infirmary, and barracks for candidates and weyrlings, along with the individual quarters for nonrider weyrfolk. |

Personal Weyrs Naturally hollowed out but the many volcanic eruptions over time, the weyrs for those who have graduated into the wings rest easily. They are quite roomy, and the location of each weyr defines rank of the individual. |

Weyrling Barracks - 1 Viewing The weyrling barracks are roughly twice the size of the candidate's barracks, but are set up similarly with simple furnishings; just enough to hold a small portion of clothes and little trinkets from home. They consist of two long rooms, each divided by gender, and these have a couch for the young dragonets. |

Candidate Barracks Set up similarly to the weyrling barracks with simple furnishings, just enough to hold a small portion of clothes and little trinkets from home. They each consist of two long rooms divided by gender, and candidate barracks have bunk beds. |

Mining Pits Where Riosian was originally mined. It has been worked out by now and shut down, or so the story goes. There is a bit left farther down the cold shaft, but the Weyrleaders only pry some out sparingly to replenish the Riosian in the Grounds. This area is off-limits to anyone who does not have direct permission from the Weyrleaders and is guided down into the dark shafts by one. |

Slopes The outside slopes of Solainoti Weyr. They are level enough to be climbed and dotted with ledges, so some riders or weyrfolk like to scale the sides of the old crater to get some exercise and have some fun. There are different places marked out by difficulty level, and there are regular checks done to make sure nothing might break loose and fall. |

Flights Here the female dragons of Solainoti Weyr may Rise. Try to keep the content PG 13 unless noted otherwise, and you may request a private board or use PM if things become too heated. The player of the female dragon is in control of the Flight, so males, don't try and take charge. |

Jynaier Hold Jynaier Hold is known for its various remedies and medicinal herbs that come from the area. Because of the abundant plant life on the Eastern Continent, it is fairly easy to see why this Hold thrives and it the main supplier of herbs for healers throughout the Continent. Medicinal value aside, this Hold is also prosperous from its fertile, volcanic soil, and crops here almost never experience any trouble. It is a relatively small Hold for all its success, but its Holder is content and sees no reason to expand out further from its location WSW of the Weyr, safely nestled in a beautifully designed valley. It happily supports Solainoti without complaint, and gives monthly tithes as well as supplying the healer's herbs. |

Rias Hold Originally, it was a smaller, temporary camp set up for the workers. Made up of mostly miners from the South and Smiths from the North, Rias' original purpose was to help the Weyr mine its Riosian. Since the mineral has mostly run out, Rias' miners have turned to the deposits of various useful metals and stones under the nearest mountain. The Smiths churn out a variety of objects, from the raw material to utilitarian tools to intricate bits of finery. It is a prosperous business, since there are few other mining operations anywhere near it, and the source is just being tapped. |
