Weyrbowl

The whole Weyr is basically a giant inactive volcano that has been extinct for centuries and thus, the Weyrbowl is the central crater. It is surrounded on most sides by the Lower Caverns and the weyrs, dragon entrances to all dotting the cliff. Lush grass has grown off of the minerals in the underground ash and a single plain stretches across the Bowl. On on side on the edging cliff, there's a large waterfall that has been fed into the Bowl by years of channeling and it conceals the draconic entrance to the Hatching Ground up above. The river it creates is mostly peaceful and rarely excess a width of four dragonlengths, but it can rather violent towards the fall and thus, simple bridges have been put in place for those dragonless to cross it.

About one-third of the Weyrbowl is an enclosed Feeding Ground with many wherries and bucks that are raised in Talune Weyr. Part of the river allows the livestock a source of water and the Feeding Ground is on the opposite side of the Weyrbowl as the Hatching Ground entrance.
