yay! -glomps back-
i went on a hike with my chums yesterday, and now my legs hate my guts. >_>;; there's one trail to the peak that is ungodly steep, and near the top there's this series of really steep steps: we call it the stair-stepper of doom. going down that trail is a gauntlet of trying not to break your neck, and two of the people i was with went flat-out sprinting down the thing. me and the other sane one took our time, and we were halfway down when the two idiots called Dave complaining that the car was locked and he was the one with the keys. XDD

xDD Wow. I know how you feel: I can recall climbing a trail in Pine Mountain...Ugh. By the time you got to the top, you had nearly died from lack of oxygen, and I practically fell down the damn mountain because I'm just that coordinated.

Is hiking fun? I can't exactly do it where I live, but I've always wanted to...

yep. halfway up the longer, less insane slope to the peak we stopped when we found a trickle of gloriously cold runoff rainwater from the past few days, and Justin got the miraculous idea "this stuff is cold, we're about to have heatstrokes, let's do this!" so he and i promptly soaked ourselves in this gasmatastically icy water: it was amazering. i became Dave's personal, portable air conditioning unit when the breeze would cool off my soaked top and he could glomp me. i tell ya, i stayed damp all through that hike, and didn't even dry off until we got back to David's house later that day. XP
but at the peak, we spent a few hours bouncing around, as Justin put it, clambering over the rocks. as the shortest one i usually fell behind, with the worst climber, David. we just kinda meandered along at the rear while Justin and Reg played mountain goat. >_>

-Chuckles- Sounds like a blast. And, yes Lauri, hiking is AMZAZING. I love it so much I'd die without my mountains.

-agrees- hiking is awesome. especially in the autumn when the leaves are turning and it's not mind-blowingly hot. -nodnod-
and yes, that trip was fun, but the bouncing over rocks and trying not to break my neck on the slope of death was murder on my leg muscles. i haven't worked them that hard since i stopped riding. TT^TT
i'll work on that once i get home, 'kay? this Mac is useless and it's almost time for me to scram anyhow.

You ride? o.O I wouldn't have guessed that. I wish I could...I don't have the opportunity to nor the means. -Sadsigh-
And, that's perfectly fine. ^^ No worries.
