Desert is bored and can't use the cbox while on the Mac. this is a bad combination. she has been bored all day, with a hyperactive Muse but nowhere to post. even worse. she was up way too late last night so her internal clock is officially screwed, and she has to get up at the butt-crack of dawn for work tomorrow morning. yet again, worse. while being up late last night Desert had to deal with a loud-mouthed jerkface and lost her temper, which turned into an argument with my friend who apparently expects me to be a saint and keep my frustration at the idiots bottled up all the time. i know better than to do that, because bottling up strong emotions is like shaking a two-liter soda bottle. too much and it'll explode, which is what ended up happening. -grumblesigh- on top of that, my face and forearms are all sunburnt and my chest- and arm muscles are sore from yesterday afternoon, which was the senior picnic day: there was one inflatable thinger called the Wrecking Ball where four people stand on air-filled columns and a huge inflated ball is hung down, and you have to throw the wrecking ball around to try and knock people off. yesterday, as is typical of late spring in North Carolina, was in the 80s, humid, with patchy cloud cover. there was no shade on that football field. half the people there predictably used up most of the water by throwing it on one another, so drinks were used up fairly quickly. i dunno how i'm gonna work tomorrow with a sore upper body and sunburns all over me. >_O
well, aren't i the one for complaints today. -sigh- i dunno what my problem has been.

Oh it sounds like you've a rough few days..and you're entirely entitled to complain *hugs* Hopefully the burns arn't too irritating for work. If you can think of a starter post for something I will rp with you, currently doing a portfolio piece but I am sure I can squeeze in some time off since I have been working pretty solidly since early this morning.

-hugs back- thanks. at least voicing my gripes has helped a bit.
unfortunately, Melpomene's hyperactivity isn't for WoP. she wants me to write another fic. again. ¬_¬ spazmatastic Muse goes through fic ideas as fast as i shoot them down, but this time she's been stubborn. i've already written like two fics with this particular plotline, but she's still fixated on it! >_<;;

Ah fair enough then, if she does have a change of mind then I am always open... And I am glad venting helped you a bit...So when do you Graduate? It sounds kind of soon, because you have holidays soon wouldn't you? Like Spring Break? Or is that a thing for Unis? I wish we had something like Spring Break, the little I know of it it sounds rather wild.

postfail... ;
spring break was April-ish, but it didn't last long 'cuz American school systems are dumb as all getout, but i won't go into that rant. the last day of school is June 9th, and graduation is the 13th, so we're almost free. in about two weeks exams start, and the last one is on the 9th. most schools (especially where i live, which is smack in the middle of what we fondly call the Bible Belt) have a few days' break in the spring for the Easter holiday. most people go to places like the beach for spring break, and generally act like the adolescent/young adult idiots they mostly are, which is probably what you've heard about.

Oh so it's not that good? I had this vision of like months worth of holidaying and hanging out with friends on the beach lol. Wow not long to go at all; good luck! I hope your exams go well. Bible Belt?

-chuckle- i knew you'd wonder. the Bible Belt is what some people call the handful of states in the southeastern corner of the US that is home to a very dense concentration of Christians, most of which being Babtist, at least in my area of the Belt. for people like me and my immediate family, this can be more than a bit annoying, because there are plenty of Evangelists about trying to spread the "Word of God" to people who are not in the least bit interested in being converted. but i'll spare you that rant and several examples of the more irritating incidents we've suffered at the hands of these well-meaning but irritating people. unless you're really curious and want to hear.

I am curious and want to hear! It sounds...frustrating if you are not of their faith.

it is very frustrating. i'll tell you about one example told to me by Garrett, my sister's beau, who is Jewish. he was actually in Oswego in New York when this happened, but we have a similar problem in NC so it works just as well. here's what happened: a group of Episcapalian(i can't spell right now) folks gathered in Oswego's Pit(the UNC Chapel Hill term for an area in the middle of the academic campus where students hang out and such) and started on a rant about how everyone needed to accept Jesus into their lives and shun anyone who didn't know Jesus and so on and so forth or they were going to hell. (this is my favorite part of the story) they were getting really into their anti-gay speech ('cuz most capital-C Christians are firmly against homosexuality) when two of Garrett's acquaintences, both female, wove through the crowd until they were standing right in front of the main speaker, and started making out. Garrett went on to say that the guy was standing there slack-jawed and aghast until the two women left to go on about their day.

yes, but the humorous part is the only redeeming feature of that story. there are plenty of people like that group who showed up at Oswego who do similar things. -growlsigh- i'll admit, not all of them are bad. some of my chums and extended family are religious, and they're perfectly agreeable and don't rant at me to accept Jesus or else i'm going to hell, but i will admit that sometimes it gets irksome. especially when my grandmother, bless her heart, gets shocked when i tell her that my shift at work is Sunday morning which means that i can't go to church. -sigh- i'm one of the few of the people who work at the barn, including the owners, who doesn't attend church, so my taking the Sunday am shift is a relief to everyone else who's free to go.
speaking of work, if i want to be lucid for my shift, i need to go to bed. -yawn- see you.

spring in NC means going from autumn-like weather to summer-like weather and back in the space of a day. either it's cool and misty and drizzly or hot as crap. >_O i can't wait to move to the mountains where the climate is cooler.
and of course, Melpomene has still been going nuts, but at least it's more conducive to WoP. -sigh-

You like the cold? I'd much rather have it warm. I'm bemoaning the sudden change in weather over here, we were having such warm, lovely days despite being late Autumn, and then *snap* the cold winds and rain are here.
