D'ved looked around the star-stone. No one, absolutely no one was around...good thing to because he was beyond mad at the moment. Just then he felt like grabbing and even choking a drudge but he kept himself in composure for the sake of his dragon at least. He would never again listen to that foul beast of a mind he has, he would only listen to his heart from now on.
'Never again will I listen again to my mind. Instead I shall listen to the wisdom of my heart only. Make sure you remind me of that promise every time you know I'm about to agree with my mind Hareth.' D'ved spoke softly as he walked to the edge of the star-stone and looked out toward the forest and everywhere around it.
I will don't you worry D'ved. Hareth spoke as he flapped his wings twice to get up onto the star-stone with D'ved. I say its time that we went looking for that girl of yours D'ved, you have nothing else to do today so you might as well introduce yourself to her for once.
'Hey cut that...I'm just...taking my time.' He spoke quickly to Hareth even thought he knew the truth of it. He was scared, more scared then he had ever been about talk to that female he first saw attacking the bronze pair. He shuddered lightly at remebering that and then looked around.
It seems that we have company D'ved. You may want to stay there, its D'myn the weyrleader...Hareth chuckled lightly as he landed down next to D'ved.
'Great just freaking great the weyrleader is paying me a visit. What did I do now?' D'ved asked himself lightly as he got ready for this strange meeting.

Indeed, D'myn and Xanturnoth were on their way to the star-stone, the Amber's eyes a sullied crimson, the same hue they often were. Most dragons would be dangerous, when such hues swirled through their eyes, but not this one. True danger lurked when his faceted orbs showed streaks of blues and greens, colors that meant happiness, contentment, pleasure. Emotions he felt strongest when he towered over his prey and slowly tortured them, stealing life little by little and punished those who dared betray his rule.
Xanturnoth paused before they got there, snapping out the great expanse of his wings and raking his claws over the soil of the bowl, shoving off and carrying himself to the ledge of his Weyr. He could watch just as easily from here, and he doubted either the Bronze or the rider would dare try anything violent. As he landed, he turned himself around, not lounging comfortably and indolently, but settling to his belly lightly, his fore paws curled over the edge of the ledge, ready to throw himself off at a moment's notice and soar into the sky if need be. By appearance he was relaxed, or as relaxed as the Amber ever was, though in reality he was a beast, waiting for a signal to attack, for provocation.
D'myn shielded his eyes against the flurry of grit stirred by Xanturnoth's flight, growling under his breath and shaking his head as he continued to walk across the bowl, his destination the star-stone. Once clear of the annoying dust and dirt, he dropped his hand, moving with the fluid prowl of a large feline, undeniably dangerous in his every action, powerful, commanding the attention of those who lived in his Weyr. He was aleader by nature, no matter what his twisted ideals may lead to, a fact which was proved true time and time again, when his firm hand hand came down on the disobedient, or when he sent out his most trusted to bring destruction to the lesser Weyrs of Pern.
The climb to the peak was not his favorite, though his Amber's insistance on their rigorous exercise routine kept him in shape, and when finally he passed the final steps, he let his pale blue eyes fall on D'ved. It was hard to tell when the man was mad or simply himself, so long as he kept control his emotions were hidden behind a blank mask, penetrating gaze unchanging, stern expression unfaultering. His arms rose, folding over his broad chest slowly as he raised a single brow. He had a chore for this one, and if all went well, he might even let D'ved have a special reward. "Good day, D'ved. Are you busy?"

Upon seeing the extremely large amber in its somewhat graceful manner D'ved simply shuddered. This dragon Xanturnoth as he was called as immensly powerful and fast not to mention...large. It was plain and simple to put he was the largest dragon D'ved and Hareth had ever seen which is why they had never attemptewd to unseat D'myn as of yet.
Hareth turned and looked at Xanturnoth cautiously then back to his rider. It was quite...intriguing to see Xanturnoth here without any of the other dragons but it also meant that D'myn needed to talk to his rider and so he would stay even though he wished to leave right then and there and possibly never show himself until they had to do some exercises. D'ved I believe they may have need of us now.
D'ved gulped silently and then finally heard D'myn from behind him. He turned around once again attempting to mask his emotions and keept them from anyones view except his own and hareth's. He heard those few words that could lead to almost anything even assisting a drudge. He sighed hopefully giving of the impression to D'myn that he had slightly interrupted a train of thought and then finally spoke to him,"Weyrleader D'myn, whatever you have need of I am at your disposal; remeber that. You can always call on me unlees i am otherwise engaged elsewhere with someone of importance to myself of which there are very, very few. Now may I ponder as to what it is that you need me to do, for I am not busy; as of this moment that is."
Good answer D'ved you went around answering him until the last second while keeping yourself calm and alert. I am impressed. Hareth spoke reassuring D'ved that he was still there after all.

The rather lengthy answer to a simple question drew the Weyrleader's curiosity, though he bit his tongue on the matter for now. Obviously this man had been thinking, apparently on some serious matter or other, and seemed to have had some emotion worthy of hiding. Interesting. D'myn filed that away for later inspection.
He barely spared the Bronze a glance, not concerned with the beast. Xanturnoth could easily tear the head from the smaller king and play with it as a kitten might a ball of yarn. The Amber could very likely do that to any dragon in this Weyr, for he outsized all. That alone was reason enough for most to listen well to their words, and the fact that the Amber was likely to kill any contender in the Flight of their Senior Queen who seemed to stand a fraction of a chance against him ended any hopes of rebellion outright. Instead his pale eyes remained coldly on the man, waitin for his speech to end, and then he waited a little longer. Make him nervous, make him sweat under the heat, justa bit. Make sure this one knew who was in charge, and who was the underling.
He was no fool, D'myn, and knew D'ved to be powerhungry, knew that it was very likely the man coveted the rank the Amberrider had grabbed and clutched to feircely. Little things, like making him wait, were good ways to serve messeges. Xan, I need you to make a statement so this pair understands how important a task we are giving them. A mental ripple f amusement was the response, and D'myn repressed a feline smile which threatened to crawl over his lips in satisfaction. "I am sure that if we had an ugrent need of you and your Bronze, you would cast aside even a personal relationship for the sake of our Weyr. You are aware that we have, for some time now, had a Silverrider in the Weyr, Katya and Basionath, no?" He lifted a brow slightly, a fraction of an inch, before continuing. "She has fled. I want her back here, so she may be properly punished for treason. If you can sucessfully bring her and the beast back, you will be rewarded."
Xanurnoth hissed from his ledge, his wings mantling and his neck arching in distaste. He wanted that Silver, above all else, to make her pay dearly. He would flay her alive and D'myn would make that fool of a girl watch the whole time. He didn't care what happened to the rider, so long as she was forced to suffer through watching what he had in store for the dragon. The very thought made his eyes flicker with sweet blues that danced through the stain of crimson, and he shivered in delight. He could recall the sweet sound of her pleas the last time he'd caught her. His lips curved into a smile, his sharp teeth glistening beneath as he shoved himself from the ledge, his wings stroking the air as he floated to the star-stone and sank to the ground, towering over all. You will bring me that Silver, and after I am through he may have the rider, if that be his wish. Black Sands Weyr will not, so long as I am the Weyrking, be insulted or made mockery of. As his ended his speech, having let all three in on it, he snapped his teeth together, maw opening and thundering closed as he snarled, his tail lashing violently. Indeed, he'd happily allow that man who rode the Bronze to have the girl, he cared not her fate and it seemed almost fitting, considering her past.
D'myn nodded as the Amber finished, unaffected by the big beast's violence. He was used to it, had been with the Amber for enough turns to know when the anger wa sdirected at him, and when he was safe. "He speaks true, we only wish to offer a gentle reminder of our Weyr's power. If you wish to take this task, you will have the assitance of the Wildfire Veseleth, and her rider Miaxhote, should it be needed."

D'ved waited for every response to what he said and then shuddered lightly getting a more then mental image of what they now had planned. He knew asking for the dragon's life as aprize would not be accepted from Xan, but he couldn't help but laugh slight at all this. So this female, whom he really adored with a lot of passion, had escaped their clutches and rode off to a different weyr.
Your mine now....He smiled lightly to himself as he thought those few words. As he did so he nodded to Harethand the bronze flew off to get everything ready as he made his response to the Weyrleaders question. But Hareth didn't move he felt all that emotion and anger and looked at the Amber amazed that he could habor such hatred for Katya and Basionath. Haretht hen spoke openly to his rider D'ved before he would go and get himself ready for tat trip. Remeber D'ved these two are our leaders and so we must do all that they say not matter if we don't like it.
D'ved nodded his head gulping at the Ambers performance on how mad he was and then spoke slightly shaking for once displaying all emotion,"Weyrleader and dragon alike. Just tell me what and how it needs to be done and it will be done. But I have just one favor to ask of you both. Would you please allow the silverpair a grant in life upon their return? You may physically disable a dragon without killing it and get the rider to understand that Treason above all else is intolerable...belive me I have seen and felt such a thing. Both myself and Hareth agree to go and get the silverpair but I beg of you both spare their lives...at least till I'm done with the traitors..." He then awaited to hear D'myns answer as well as Xan's. He knew this would slightly confuse them but it was needed to be said. Katya and Basionath were one of the few pairs that could actually rise for a clutch and he meant to see to it that it would all be his.

The very... Idea, that they would indeed allow the Silver to live was laughable, and no one could have requested such a thing and expected it granted, no matter who they be, and D'myn did laugh, tilting his head back and having a good long roar of amusement. Surely, surely D'ved was joking? But no, the serious, eager look gave all away, and D'myn ceased his mirth sharply, narrowing his pale eyes. Xanturnoth's growl echoed D'myn's own thoughts, a dark sound which portrayed an intent to do the one thing that would make Katya sorry for ever betraying this Weyr, for ever turning her back on it. They had every intent to torture Basionath before finally giving the small mercy of killing her, putting her out of her misery, and keeping her rider alive, locked away and very likely chained so she could no harm herself, could not join her dragon in blessed darkness and embrace death.
"Let us make something clear, D'ved. We are not oging to leave the beast alive, Basionath will be dead when we are through, and once Katya's spirit is broken and we are sure she has not the heart to even bring her own demise about, you can have her. To ask for more than that is to ask for Xanturnoth to pull out Hareth's eyes and feed them to a wher. Is that a trade you would wish to make?" No rider would wish harm on their dragon, no matter the cost, it would be too hard on them. The added insult of feeding the eyes to a wher... Well whers were firty creatures, hardly as noble or important as their dragon relatives, if indeed they were related, would be a low blow to any man or woman, and a strike at the very pride and dignity of even the lowliest Green.
