Map Idea

Here's the unfinished version.

I copied the outlines of the North, South, Far West and the Eastern ring islands from a few different maps, to try and get it accurate. Evidently I took a bit of liberty and put edges on both the North and South Continent... added a few islands in for good measure and the put in the East continent.

Let me know what you think, if you like it or not, what could be added, what doesn't need to be there, etc etc etc

I can see my dark empire! I mean, Skrull! I can also see why I got a little location confused. Stupid flat maps. But yours is awesome. If you can figure it out, you should totally add the Weyrs to it.

Here it is with my idea of where the weyrs and holds are....

EDIT: Lettering moved around so that it looks like 'Solainoti' not 'Solanoti' =D

If there is anything in the wrong place (probably most of it >_<, then either save it, point out where the proper location is in paint and PM it to me and I can amend it, or you can just try to describe where it is?

Some of the holds are palced a bit randomly as I couldn't find locations relative to the weyr, but maybe i wasn't looking hard enough? ^_^;

When it's all spot on, I will do the whole version this size, then separate versions of the continents slightly larger than their current size.

Solainoti- Looks perfect, to me. ^^ Tis in the center as stated, and we didn't give a specific location for the holds, but I don't think Dessy would argue with their placing in the map. =)

EDIT: Just checked ack with Solainoti, and I think you might have forgotten the 'i' after the 'a'. Maybe it's just my bad eyes, but I couldn't tell.

Atlanopolis- I see no problems here. If Mittens also agrees, then Atlanopolis is set. =)

Talune- Brilliant!!! For the Weyr and the Holds. Thankies muchly. =D

Yeah because of the font the a and i meld into each other... when i do larger versions of each it should look fine though =]

Des sent me me a map with where she though everything on the eastern continent would be so i copied that. She said that so long as you and Mittens are fine with it, then it's all good ^_^

When I finally get the description for my weyr done, and if it's accepted, it's going to be located NNE of old Benden - nice icy cold mountains! haha =]

Perfect for BSW, and CCW. I see no problems with any of my Weyrs, or with Atlanopolis.

I added Sallarin, Sereg Dagnir and Zhiviri Weyrs along with their holds, please let me know if the placement needs changing as I guesstimated again xD

Hopefully once I have a tinker, I can get some mountain ranges on there, but I may leave that for larger versions of the separate continents as it could get confusing... If the mods could give me a basic idea of where mountains/rivers/lakes/beaches would be on the Eastern Continent, it would be much appreciated ^_^

I would hold off on details with Fyr Amenti and Eden, seeing as we haven't heard back from Dessy yet. /:

I can, however, give you details which I have for Solainoti.
"Solainoti is land-locked in the center of the Eastern Continent, the old volcano in a mountain range that runs like a backbone through the continent." Jynaier Hold is located WSW of the Weyr in a valley of sorts, though it heavily forested, and Rias Hold is located just alongside of the "backbone mountain range" that Solainoti is apart of.

Crystal Caverns is actually one of the Weyrs which is going to be dropping off and going extinct, sadly. The map may be better to wait until we're ready to re-open fully, or you could set it up with the Weyrs we know for sure are going to remain. Atlanopolis, Zhivhiri, Talune, Solainoti, Skrull, Black Sands, and Sereg Dagnir are the ones which I know so far are going to be here still.

Love the map all the same though. <3 You are positively amazing!

Okidoki, I'll get back to it when we know everything for certain I can mess around with mountains and bits for now and rearrange Weyrs and Holds at a later date
