A flurry of claws skittered over the darkened sands of the beach as Vesaleth rushed to her paws and snapped viciously at several males who surrounded her, crowding the Wildfire and making it hard to move. They were eager, they were ready, and they didn't want to add to their disadvantage. Naturally the beasts would all but glue themselves to her hide as they waited for her to Rise. A maliciuos thought had crept into her mind this morning, and the day thus far had been spent tormenting the Weyr's males with a cloying sweetness and enticing them to stick close for when she rose. Only those who stayed near would stand much of a chance after all. She was a Wildfire!
The mere thought made her fairly purr with pleasure, were she a feline she would have. Instead, she settled for a smug look and occasionally swatting away her potential mates when they got overbearing. She delicately settled back to the sand, folding her wings along her sides and rumbling sweetly. ~Mine, are you ready? I grow weary of this game and wish for the fun to begin.~ Mia, who had spent much of the day searching for a place to hole up and see if she couldn't escape the unpleasentries of a mating flight involving her dragon, growled from the thicket of brush she'd found. High on the outside of the Weyr and hard to reach unless on was very determined, as well as being difficult to make out a human figure among the scraggly trees and bushes. Perfect for her purposes. ~Do as you please, Ves. You normally do.~ There was no sting to her words, for they were filled with love, and with them being said the bellow which broke from the Wildfire's maw set much of the Weyr in a flurry of motion.
The red-ish blur which shot into the air at breakneck speeds left behind all contendors, her jaws parting to let loose a glorious challenge. Not to catch her, for tha was almost impossible, but to impress her. ~Come on boys, show me what you've got. You can talk the talk but do you walk the walk?~ An acceptable height reached she halted and dropped like a rock, arrowing down back into the cluster of freshly airborne males, her lithe figure dodging through them until she was beneath and only a dragonlength from the ground. Her paws made short contact with the sand, teasing at it, before she flipped herself back up and circled the males who were somewhat confused, gaining altitude steadily once more and observing closely the crop of contendors that had bolstered the nerve to try and rise to meet her.
Her primary wish was sadly unmet, for no Amber graced her sky. It was a shame, but that deplorable Gold had forbade him from chasing other females. A waste of a perfectly fine beast, if her opinion was asked. Her spirits were brightened at some of the dragons she spied though. Several Illusions, a couple of Bronzes, Browns and Blues. She crooned, inviting her males to show her what they could do, being so bold as to brush herself against a few temptingly before darting away and ahead of the pack, to her rightful place.
