Name:
Vesuvian
Rank:
Lord Holder
Gender:
Male
Age:
28 Turns
Appearance:
Contrary to some of the rather uncomplimentary things that have been said about him, Vesuvian is no monster. He is, in fact, quite handsome - something that the many girls who have been lured into his bed would readily agree with. He has a strong, sculpted face that features high cheek bones, and a Roman nose. His face is free of any hair, though his eyebrows are rather thick, and there is a scar on his right cheek from when he lost a battle with a tree branch. Vesuvian has dark brown hair that he likes to keep short, and clear blue eyes.
Vesuvian is not a tall person, though he likes to wear boots that make up the extra inches. He likes to wear perfectly tailored clothes that are form fitting, usually in darker colors.

Personality+History: Vesuvian wasn't always a thing out of people's nightmares. In the days before his tenure as Lord Holder, he was deemed quite the pleasant young man, someone anyone would be proud to marry their daughter off to. He was ernest, hard working, always willing to lend a helping hand no matter what the task or who the person.
But it was his sense of adventure that got him into trouble.
Vesuvian grew up in Talune Hold, the middle child of a group of five siblings. While his parents provided them with the basic necessities and all the love and emotional support they needed, he began to feel stifled. Like there wasn't enough room in all of Talune Hold to contain him. And he much preferred a landlubber's way of life in any case - unlike his elder siblings, he had no intentions of joining his father's fishing business.
So when he got old enough and found that he had enough support, he set out to start a new Hold.
Though Vesuvian's original intentions were good and well, absolute power, unfortunately, corrupted absolutely. He ruled with an iron fist, initially under the guise that such methods were the only way to keep Hold organized and under control. Anyone whom he considered a dissenter was "taken care of." He was never satisfied with anything you did - you could do a task over three times before he proclaimed it "sub par, but I suppose that's the best I'm going to get from any of you people." Though he didn't exactly hold himself to such high standards.
Vesuvian never married. Either he didn't want to settle down, or he couldn't find a girl who met his expectations - in bed or otherwise. He did, however, sire a son whom he sent off to be fostered as soon he was old enough to be weaned. He kept the boy's mother around as a mistress of sorts, and as a personal drudge. There are rumors that they may have sired another son, though no one has seen or heard the baby.
Though his family members are still alive, none of his siblings count him as one of their own anymore, and his parents have disowned him. Vesuvian has repeatedly attempted to get them to come and see his "great accomplishment" but they keep refusing, believing some ulterior motive to his invitation.

Notes: His personality and history sort of wound up getting mushed into one, but I couldn't see another way of doing it. If you have a real problem with that, let me know and I'll see what I can do about getting them separated.
