Name: N'nika (formerly Jannika)

Age: 26
Appearence: N'nika stands at about 5'8 and weighs around 160 lbs (mostly comprised of muscle). She has short, very messy dirty-blond hair and a pair of hazel eyes.
She has a long scar running over the left side of her face, so can't be called the prettiest of women. She is small-breasted, so could easily be called a male.
Very masculine, her body exudes manliness. Her favorite day-wear includes an rusty-orange, long-sleeved shirt, a soft runner-hide vest, and a pair of black trousers along with her normal wear of heavy hide boots.
Special wear includes a very pretty orange blouse, a copper sash, and black pants with amber inlay. Her boots are worn at all times, and she would never be caught wearing slippers.
As an Amberrider, only her left shoulder has knots. She wears two, one of a Journeyman artist, and one denoting her rank within New Cove Weyr along with the color of her dragon.
Personality: Again, very masculine. She'd rather pick a fight with a male than cook, clean, or do any of the stuff she calls 'girly-chores', despite the fact that not all drudges are female. She knows her rank, but doesn't let it go to her head. But, then again, she's not very humble, either. She /will/ pull rank on your if need be, but she won't use her rank to get her way in every-day situations.
Quiet the odd-ball, N'nika used to be a quiet-and-out-of-the-way sort of person until her first Impression (that of Blue Caffreth), when she became the Weyr's trouble-maker. But at his untimely death she receded and became a Weyr-hermit. but now, with Xyurith at her side and a Weyr to lead, she has proven her worth as Perns' first female Weyrsecond.
Her favorite curse is "May a tunnlesnake eat your flitt egg!", closely followed by "Shards-for-brains!"
History: She was born as a set of twins to a now-extinct Weyr's leaders. They gave her to a foster family, but kept her sister. On their twelth birthday, Jazmyn Stood and Impressed a Green, delighting their parents. Jannika, however, did not Impress, so was sent away to Cove Weyr. Shortly after her send-off, a plague hit the now-dead Weyr, killing off everyone within that Weyr... not a one survived.
At Cove, Jannika got over her family's death and moved on to Impress a gigantic Blue named Caffreth from a clutch of the ever-famous Syamynth. Caffreth was massive, to say the least, and had a few odd quirks himself (like trying to pronounce words with his own draconic mouth), not to mention trying to fly after Queens (he was, after all, the size of the smallest Bronze on Pern). But shortly into one of those dare-devil Flights, a Bronze attacked him, killing him quickly in a mid-air battle over a Queen. This left the then-Jannika heartbroken and half-dead inside. She remained at Cove, survived the plague that hit it (along with the forever-famous Syamynth), and lived to see many a new Mutations.
Then, at the great Gold Syamynth's last Hatching, Jannika stood for the final time at the age of twenty-two. She Impressed Xyurith, an Amber (The only one on Pern to live to see it's own Impression). That was a glorious, yet horribly sad day as not an hour into the celebration did the keening start for the forever-famous Syamynth. The great Gold had finally died, leaving her Rider, Rylin, and the newly-named New Cove, without a Queen.

Personality: Not a normal Amber by any means, at his Hatching Xyurith proved it by offering his Rider some of his meat. He's somewhat kind and somewhat non-violent, but no-where near a normal, Cannon color (especially a Green), but still no-where near what N'nika and everyone at New Cove came to expect from an Amber. He's head-over-heels for Silvyth, as any Amber is for a Snow.
Appearence: Xyurith is a medium-sized Amber, but is still half again as big as a normal Gold. His hide is a deep, rich honey-color with copper brindeling. His wing-sails are bronze-colored, and his front claws are dipped in black, as is the very tip of his tail. His horns (as Ambers have horns and not ear-knobs), are a dark pewter-color.
Other:
N'nika has a very odd ability, very odd indeed. When it comes to Touchings, she seems to just /know/ what's inside the Egg. And, when it came to Kisa and the smaller Queen egg laid by Syamynth, she knew who it was destined for, just like the forever-famous Gold Queen.
When new Mutants Hatch, N'nika is the one to name them. How does she know what to call them? No one knows, not even N'nika herself, but it had been a long-standing tradition in NCW for her to name them, ever since she came there as a young Candidate, before even Caffreth had been dreamed about.
She knows things, things no one should know. She thinks she's just good at guessing, but that's not it at all. She's just gifted with an odd ability to know, something she may discover soon enough.
