Sweet woodruff grows to 45cm in small clusters of brilliant white flowers in the late spring. Tea from the leaves is a diuretic liver tonic and gentile sedative for children and the elderly. Bruised fresh leaves from the plant are an anti-congestant for wounds. Dry leaves may also be used in the Lower Caverns and Holds to scent linnen. The rhyzomes wild yild a red dye. That aside, the herb is mostly used to spice wine.
