A charming, though rather small, lass. Iaine stands at around four feet and seven inches, though she probably will not grow to be taller than 5’2”-5’3”. With a rather small face and large eyes it is quite clear that she is still rather young. She holds a certain air of cuteness around her, innocence perhaps. She definitely resembles a child much more than a teen with responsibilities. Her hair is a rich chocolate shade, abundant and wavy – she often keeps it in two pigtails. It’s rather long, reaching down to the mid of her back when loose. Iaine is conscious that, if she impresses, she’ll have to cut it shorter – though she’s dead set to keep it shoulder length as a minimum.
Her eyes, as mentioned before, are large, and a shade identical to her hair. Her nose and mouth are rather small, and her face is oval like, with a small but pointy chin. Petite in every aspect, from the top of her head to the tip of her toes, and with a slim build – most wonder how such a fragile-looking child can possess so much energy. Many can agree she looks much to young, and occasionally are dumbfounded when they find out she’s one of the Candidates for New Cove Weyr.

For one so small and petite one would expect a meek and quiet personality. Wrong. Iaine is as loud as she can be, and certainly doesn’t think things through much before acting or speaking. Which leads to her often saying things she would have been better off keeping to herself. She is very caring and tries to help the most she can… Though her and helping often equal accidents and disasters. You can always find a bruise or a cut somewhere in her arms or legs – for it seems Iaine and the floor have a contract signed in blood.
Iaine’s the sort of child that’s very cheery and spazzful, and her attention span is not the greatest in Pern. Send her to do one thing, along the way she’ll get distracted, and then she’ll forget all about the mission you sent her out to do. However, when she really tries and puts her mind to it she can be a good helper… It’s just that is not the case in most of the occasions. Another surprising aspect is her appetite. Though not as voracious as Kisa herself, the girl could certainly give the Junior Weyrwoman a competition in a distant future. She’s especially fond of sweets and pastries… Perhaps that is the reason why she’s always so happy and full of energy.

Nothing big really, she was born to one of Verixon’s female drudges – though no one was ever sure who the father was. Nikia was simply too… Open towards most males, and it was kind of hard to figure out which one had been the sire. Nikia herself was never too involved with Iaine’s raising, though thankfully enough the other women around the kitchen were content to lend a hand to the bright child. And sweets. Iaine loved those. She grew up like most girls: cleaning, washing, learning the basics of cooking as she got older, doing chores, etc. However, unlike her mother, she didn’t seem to find much interest in boys [her mind was very clear and away of the gutter] and preferred animals, sweets or helping around the kitchens rather than them. It was annoying, sometimes, since she seemed to be such an accident-prone child as well, but with her sweet actions the other women found it hard to say no.
At the age of fourteen the girl was searched by a lovely Snow, who thought the child would be a fitting candidate – much to the amusement and surprise of the rider. And so Iaine was brought to New Cove Weyr to reside… And Faranth have mercy on the WeyrlingMaster should this spazz-tactic child impress.
