the general rules for RPing posted by Mittens that pertain to the whole site work here as well, these are just specifications for Eden and its environs. most of my rules are already site-wide rules, so refer to that list first.
OOC rules
Make an effort to give your posts flesh. Everyone's Muse goes AWOL sometimes, Desert's especially, but if two- or three-sentence posts become a pattern there will be problems.
If you have a problem with one of your fellow RPers, work it out via PM between the two of you, or get a staff member or admin to mediate. Don't bring it into IC.
IC - Character rules
Queen- and kingriders will have to have some impressive bios. Those are the marker by which your quality as an RPer is judged, and you will be expected to maintain that quality.
Spots for queen- and kingriders are limited, and will be filled on a first-come first-serve basis.
The same goes for high-ranking crafters as well: make a durn good bio, and spots are limited.
Remember: Eden is a mutant Weyr. Canon colors can't be transferred in, and almost all canon-riders that Impress at Eden transfer out.
All mutants are welcome, but overly aggressive or hugely big mutants are rare, and will also be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis. Examples are cyanss, black kings, amber kings, raven queens, &c.
Full-fledged wingriders, crafters of Journeyman rank or above, and holders are allowed up to three flitters. Candidates, weyrlings and apprentice crafters cannot have flits. Holders can receive flits at the discretion of their Lord Holder.
IC - RPing rules
Use your best grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and all that jazz. Inexperience is excusable, but laziness is not. And if your character bios are all nice and well-written and long and your posts end up stilted and short, that's an issue.
Dragon/flit Flights:
Desert and Mittens must be PMed in advance of a female's Rising. Non-queen females, unless by a quirk of their color-mutation, cannot clutch. That means no female, unless on the off chance that one of NCW's dunes transfers, will be able to clutch.
check back, I might add more as I think of it.
