Trace moss grows only on ground, preferably in richer soils. It is used to provide a firm but springy surface for runners. A runner can tell if he or she strays from a trace by the feel of the trace moss. The legendary 'Lopers' originally planted the moss, and it has been maintained since. The moss dosen't do as well in the heat of Boll as it does in the North. The moss doesn't stain runner shoes.
Known Location: On any runner trace in the Northern Continent.
