Whooot! I found a few of my old poems and some not so old. ^^
So I'll display them here -- 'cause Onyx poems inspired me to do the same. :3
I had a whole notebook at some point... But I lost it. ._.;;
Dragon Flight
[November 16th, 2005]
Wings beat and hearts soar
Yellow hide gleaming gold
Watch the swirling eyes with careful eye
Whirling fast with love and lust
Blooded once, blooded twice
Moments pass and two more are down
Blood once more, watch the skies
Crouch and jump, take flight
Flying high, flying low
Bulging your challenge to the unknown
You are big, you are great
Brown and Bronze follow behind
Dive and rise as they chase
One by one they drop out
Soon only three are left
Bronze, Brown and Bronze again
Having to much and tired now
Brown also drops down to his Mine
Reassured by their Bond
They watch the end unfold
Bronze tries to catch her now
But Gold doesn’t want him, he’s turn down
The other croons lovely songs
Trying to win the Queen’s heart
Moments pass, both suitors still there
Chasing after their Golden Queen
First tries again but is turn down
Second continues with his love songs
She is tiring, flying slower now
But still is able to reject the Bronze a last time
Her choice is made, she croons to her new mate
Entwining bodies with the Bronze below
Gold and Bronze dive down
Together as one they break their dive
Flying low and into the Weyr
Soon a clutch will be laid
Cycle of Birth
[Date Unknown]
Multi-faceted eyes opened sharply, the pools of colors
inside them whirling faster and faster as the Rukbat’s
sun slowly rises, illuminating all the face of Pern
that faced its direction. Reds and oranges whirling
among the colors, hints of yellows and purple not
short behind. Quickly the pair of golden wings settled
on the creature’s back opened widely, stretching
slightly before catching a morning gust of wind,
gliding down to the lake below these high cliffs.
Below on the moist earth were already gathered more of
this magnificent creatures. Greens and Blues fled to
the vegetation, feeling safer and also finding a good
point to watch, while Browns and Bronzed ones remained
on the edge of the water, multiple bodies of blooded
fish lying among them, ones that would soon be
consumed by the Greens and Blues who patiently waited.
Reaching the water she bulges her challenge, yellow
hide gleaming slightly before soon a fish was snared
in her sharp claws. Talons gripped the slippery food
tightly, penetrating the scaled body of the packtail
before it was thrown to the shore, the golden creature
landing besides it. Maw reached for the succulent
morsel, draining the blood out of it before the cycle
was repeated again with yet another packtail.
After moments four more corpses had joined the others
on the shore, the Gold’s hide gleaming strongly as it
seemed to glow, the morning rays of sunlight bouncing
off from it to add more beauty to the creature.
Massive set of wings, considering the size of the fire
lizard, opened, catching a small breeze as her pillars
pushed her up and into the air. Soon a thermal was
caught, raising her higher and higher, the Bronze and
Brown suitors close behind.
Bulges and creels went about among the males,
threatening one another, all their eyes fixed on the
golden prize flying in front of them. While some tried
to snare her by force others tried to charm her with
soft croons and trills, the Gold diving and rising,
spiraling and circling in the air in her Flight. None
were stronger than her, none!
Little by little some dropped out, soon two Bronze
flitts and a Brown fire lizard remaining in the chase.
The last couldn’t hang on any longer, and soon joined
the others below, leaving the two Bronzed ones to
fight for their beautiful Queen. While the first one
attempted to snare her again and entwine his neck and
tail with hers the other continued with soft croons
and thrills to his beloved Gold.
In the end the choice was made, the first being
rejected as the Gold hovered close to the other
Bronze, allowing body and mind to entwine together as
the flew through the lake, the male keeping his golden
mate in the air…. It didn’t took long… Sevendays later
a clutch lying inside one of the many small holes in
the rocky cliff. Days, weeks and months passed, the
mother protecting her clutch fiercely while her mate
helped, bringing food to his Golden beauty. In her
forearms lied a golden egg, the future small Queen
developing inside.
And finally the day came, Green, Blue, Brown, Bronze
and Gold united to greet the new ones that had begun
to be born. Food was brought and placed down for them
as a low humming tune echoed throughout the small
cave, their welcoming to the new world. Hatchlings of
all colors were there now, hides gleaming with birth
fluids as they gobbled down the morsels set for them.
And finally the golden shell begun to crack, a fine
snout popping out and taking the first gulp of air,
encouraging the hatchling to rip her prison open and
gaze at the outside world. Another Gold had been born,
another Fire lizard Queen now stood, soon gobbling up
food to cease the increasing pain in her stomach. And
life continued, the same cycle waiting to be repeated
all over again in an endless pattern till Threadfall comes…
So I'll display them here -- 'cause Onyx poems inspired me to do the same. :3

What I Always Wanted to Hear
[August 6th, 2008]
I remember that day, the moment you made me feel so happy again
Like a child when they found that oh so favorite toy
That they had once thought lost forever and ever more
How to forget the sting of the verbal beating I received that day?
About how disappointed my father was about my grades
Never mind I had tried my hardest to please, it was never enough for him
And yet you just embraced me tightly in your loving arms
Before your hands caressed my hair and softly wiped the tears away
"I'm so proud of your efforts, such an excellent work!"
And with just that one keyword, you lighted up my whole world
A True Confession
[March 28th, 2006]
I hate you, I hate you
Everything you do hurts me
I hate you, I hate you
And all you do is punish me
You say it's for the best
That you care for what lies ahead
But all of this are only lies
You only care about yourself
Everything I ever loved you destroyed
Whatever I wanted you took away
The only things I cared about burn up in flames
Anything I want snatched away in my face
Don't you understand? You don't know me
Don't you realize? You don't own me
Can't you analyze? I hate you with passion
Can't you disappear? Die without caution
Get away from me, I don't want you near
You know nothing about me, I'll make you fear
I don't love you, I hate your guts
I don't need you, I'll triumph without luck
You're a liar, a deceiver
You're hateable, a disgrace
You're an animal, a masked creature
You're an idiot, a complete waste
I hate you dad, I hate you
Everything you say pains me
I hate you dad, I hate you
You took my happiness from me
Mixed Feelings
[March 29th, 2006]
It's amazing how much a heart can remember
It's amazing to know how little it forgets
Time slowly consumes our mind and memories
But the ones in the heart stay there forever
The heart seems to be part of your soul
That soul that buries memories within
The place where they lock the pain inside
A place with no exits left unbound
We'll try to fool it, pretend we're ok
We'll try to lock it, forget the pain
Deceive ourselves to believe in a dream
Rely in lies to forget you ever lived
So many things that we'll try to forget
So many times we'll pray it goes away
So many thoughts, why it had to be that way
So many tears, wishing it had never end
Many will try to forget as soon as they can
They can't accept they failed that time
Yet others would give everything they have
If only it meant getting a second chance
But where do I lie in all of these thoughts
Where do my feelings drag me towards
Are they pushing ahead, making me go forward
Or are they holding me back, unable to go on
I'm unsure of what to think or feel in the day
Unsure if whether to smile or cry in the night
Lost and confused, unable to understand
Wishing I never met you and loving you at the same time
And here are a few related to dragons. A poem and a small story. ^^[August 6th, 2008]
