Weyr: Black Sands
Name: Miaxhote (Mia)
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Rank: Wingrider
Age: 33
Appearence: She is not a tall or powerful looking woman, she is not so attractive that every head turns. She is not so short that it draws eyes to herself. It is, in fact, hard to remember what she looks like, for she is so easy to forget. Her hair is jet, cut short around her head, slightly longer in the back where it reaches just past the nape of her neck, the rest of it tapering to her ears, and into a straight line for bangs. Her eyes are a dark hazel, ranging in their color from a very dark brown, light brown, medium green, dark green, and any mix of those. It is a mixture of what color she'd wearing and her mood that controls the eye color. She has very full lips, pouty, that are a dark ruby, and lightly tanned skin. Her features lean to the delicate side, but not enough to be really classified as such, more a subtle hint at it than anything.
Her height is just short of average, not enough that it's noticable, and for the most part she's just at the height that makes it real easy to overlook her, standing at 5'3". Her build is slight, though to her displeasure her curves are developed well. Were it up to her, she'd be only developed enough to be sure she was a woman, no more, no less.
She is not picky with colors, instead ranging as wide as she can, since it plays a part in her eye color. She wears fitted clothing, not too tight, but not baggy, and as of late she's taken to wearing little, leaving off anything that isn't really needed.
Personality: Mia is just as manipulative as Vesaleth. They both look at power and want it, and for the most part will go to any lengths to get it. Their faces are never placed at the front of it though, for Mia particularly dislikes being a public figure. It is she who keeps Vesaleth from trying to claim things outright, swaying the Wildfire to work things from behind a curtain. She sees no reason at all to risk her own skin by making it known her and Vesaleth's minds and the extent of their reach.
Somewhat on the shy side, Mia has some issues with self confidence. She does not want to be noticed unless it is entirely required, and there is no other way. By nature she is quiet, the sort most don't think twice about, but in truth you must watch closely, for though her manner is reclusive her mind is sharp and bitter.
There are some contridictions between Maixhote and Vesaleth. The largest one being males and flirting with them. Mia would rather not, leaving it be and waiting until the Wildfire Rises for any of it to be bothered with. However, she knows the sense of Vesaleth's actions, part of it, and it's easier to use men if they are smitten. Much easier. So she grudgingly will flirt and charm men shamelessly, keeping them tightly wrapped around her finder, just as Vesaleth keeps the dragons close to her.
As fara s the raids and attacks are concerned, Mia could go either way. While she is of the opinion that undoubtably the dragons of Black Sands are superior to those anywhere on Pern, she is more interested in power for her and for Vesaleth. So long as that seems a possibility she doesn't care which way the winds blow.
History: Like many riders of Black Sands Weyr, a majority in fact, she is Weyrbred, her parent being a close-knit pair, and the Green never caught by another dragon in her life. So it comes as no suprise that all of their children are full-blooded siblings, despite the mass pack of them that terrorized the Weyr as weyrbrats.
Miaxhote is the first-born, the oldest, and so far the highest ranked of the children.
She Impressed young, hardly having to wait the many turns that most did, standing on those black sands was eerie, though she'd been raised with the dark beaches, and had attended many a Hatching before. The queen was a Gold, a lovely creature, though nothing Mia had any desire for. No, while it was true, the queens were the heart of the Weyr, the highest ranked, Mia's eyes were on aother dragon.
As the eggs shook and rocked, finally breaking open to spill out the hatchlings, Mia waited, having to remind herself to breath, and nearly failing several times. There were a large majority of Misery hatchlings, and a few more Illusions that she would have expected, but until nearly the very end of it all, not a single Wildfire. That was the dragon she wanted, the females who none could beat in speed, who were stunning, looking as if they were set ablaze, who could, in time, hone skills unimaginable to some outside of the Weyr.
Then she came, the Wildfire breaking through her shell almost daintily, crawling from the ruins to stand gloriously, all six wings spread to dry as she posed before the awed eyes of the many. There were few things as impressive at a Hatching as a Wildfire. At least until they walked.
As the hatchling took her first steps away from the shattered remains of her shell, she stumbled, staggering dangerously, nearly falling a great many times. So akward she was, the Mia couldn't help but let out a trill of laughter, which brought the gaze of the dragon to her sharply.
For a moment most thought the Wildfire would attack, but instead, she shook her head and lifted it proudly with a snort. Get over here and help me would you? Your Vesaleth is having a bit of trouble. I swear... This better not last long. I look ridiculous! There was a plaintive note to the dragon's voice as her eyes whelled a rainbow of hues, and Mia gkladly went to aide the hatchling off the sands.
They flew through their weyrling training, though a large part of it was due to the Blue who was responsible for it being very quickly taken with Vesaleth, and the rider with Mia.
A few turns back, Hatie was ready to give birth to her youngest child, a son. Tradjedy struck though, and while the boy was born healthy and wonderful, Hatie died shortly afterward. It was hard on her body to have given six children life.
Mia was heartbroken, for while she'd been raised not by her parents, but by the many of the owoer caverns as was normal, she'd had a close relationship with both of her parents. When M'xiamo and his Brown Betweened shortly after, Mia accepted it with a heavy heart. Were it not for Vesaleth she might have been tempted to follow, but she had a duty to the dragon, and she was determined to keep her many siblings in line and see them all Impressed to dragons, ready to become fine young riders.
Father: M'xiamo of Brown Vuerloneoth
Mother: Hatie of Green Koinjoriloyth (died birthing her youngest)
Siblings: Will work on them later, they'll all be adoptables. 5 siblings for Mia total.
Pets:
Dragon Name: Vesaleth
Dragon Color: Wildfire
Age: 21
Personality: Vesaleth is a manipulative, sly creature. She is a puppetmaster to the core, pulling strings to bring about the reactions she wants. She has, from the moment Xanrutnoth arrived in the Weyr, had her sights set on the Amber. She is well aware of the potential damage she could cause with such a creature, and she aspires to it. However, knowledge that she must be careful about it keeps her at bay.
Another thing that this Wildfire has been coveting is a Misery. She cares not which one, but she is determined to trick one into trusting her and then using it. Given the chance, this cunning dragon would likely go about Pern, visiting theWeyrs, and collectig herself a small wings of beasts that suited her desires. Unfortunately, she almost cannot stand to be around any dragon not hatched of Black Sands, it's hard enough to have Xanturnoth as the Weyrking, and to want to control him as well.
Like every Wildfire, she can of course alter temperature, and she'll use it more often than she should. Oneof her favored uses is to lull others to sleep by bringing the area to a balmy warmth, the sort that is near impossible to reamain concious in.
Aside form the behavior typical to her color, Vesaleth can be a bit of a flirt, not so bad as a Green, but she does enjoy having a veritable group of males eagerly awaiting her Flights.
Appearence: Vesaleth is a lvoely specimen, her hide's colors seemingly painted on, so acurately they look like flames. The darkest points are mid-height on her, the tips of her toes are white, which shiftes to a red that darkens slowly, and then orange and yellow higher up. Her wings are the only part of her that is one solid color. The bones are highlighted in a soft, white-gold, while the rest of the membrane is orange-gold.
On the large side of her color, she prides herself on her appearance, as it is a large part of her manipulation of males. Her lithe, lean build and her coy movements are a perfect way to attract a male ot her, and to slowly worm her way into his mind to guide him to do as she wants.
Like all Black Sands dragons, her right flank is marked by the black, six-pointed star, the metallic sheen that covers the rest of her is gone on this spot.
On the ground she can be rather clumsy, though considering the eatra two sets of wings she carries it is entirely unerstandable. However, she can literally take-off and be gone from the ground long before most can become airborn.
