Weyrling Training Lessons:

NB: * indicates training for Queenrider Weyrlings only. After training week 35, Queenrider weyrlings no longer learn with the rest of their class. ** Indicates lessons that Greenriders must attend for better knowledge of their dragons as they do rise. There are a total of 60 training weeks. A Weyrling is allowed to miss ten lessons and still be able to graduate. OOCly Lessons will last one week only. If you miss more than ten lessons you will remain a Weyrling until you have completed all the lessons you missed to the Weyrling Master, Weyrwoman and Weyrleader's satisfaction.



Newborn Weyrlings:

Weyrlings take a Turn and a half to develop into mature riders, readying for the Fighting Wings. During the time between Hatching and Graduating to the Wings, the weyrlings and their young dragons must be trained in all aspects of dragoncare and fighting Thread by the Weyrlingmaster, a dragonrider chosen by the Weyrleaders for his or her experience to instruct the young riders.

The Weyrlings follow a strict schedule of training, so that they are ready to replenish the wings at the appointed time. Below is an outline of a typical layout for a Weyrling's day:

Chores: Besides helping to prepare, serve, and clean up after the meals, weyrlings may be assigned to different or additional chores. These include elevator duty, tasks in the lower caverns, helping healers and dragonhealers in the Infirmaries, helping the beastcrafters, running errands, helping at the docks and barns, and anything else assigned by the Weyrlingmaster and Headwoman. For misbehavior, weyrlings will be sent back to duties such as latrine cleaning.
